Polka Dots & A Bowtie

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

Polka dots are always in and this top from the Who What Wear collection at Target is the perfect dot button up top!  Dressed up or dressed down, as I've done with my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans, this top is a fun versatile addition to your closet.

I love how "smart" this look turned out just by adding a bowtie scarf and a great pair of leopard heels!  What's not to love about a look (top, bowtie scarf, and denim) that you can put together for under $100?!

I recommend sizing down in the Who What Wear collection as it runs larger than TTS...I am wearing a XS in this top and a size 4 in the boyfriend jeans.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and have a great start to your week!

Coordinates Collection - Personalized From The Heart

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

You know those moments in time when you wish time would stand still?!  Or those moments that quickly become a memory that you want to hold onto forever?!  I've personally experienced so many of those moments...if I could bottle them up and put them away for safe keeping, I totally would.

As a family, we have lived in various places and have had many wonderful life experiences together...we've created so many amazing memories.  Just a few of my personal favorites are...

The day that I met Peter in Myrtle Beach, SC back in 2003, the day Peter asked me to marry him in Palm Springs, CA, the day we said "I do" in Charlotte, NC, bringing our first puppy Clemson home (making us a family of 3), the moment that I told Peter we were expecting our first child (and then our second 10 months later), the moment we welcomed both Reins and Addison into this world (now becoming a family of 5), moving and settling our little family in Nashville, and then welcoming our sweet pups Cali and Carolina into our family.

These are just a few of those special memories that I hold dear to my heart and I love having special little mementos to commemorate those times in our lives.

Coordinates Collection offers beautiful personalized pieces that enables you to wear those memories and keep them close to your heart.  You can personalize your piece to reflect the "coordinates" of any special memory such as the memories that I mentioned above.  Create a piece that captures any point in your life that was special, sentimental, significant, etc...one that you will cherish forever.

Their pieces make the perfect gift for that special someone in your life.  Easter and Mother's Day are right around the corner and I know how special a personalized piece from Coordinates Collection would make someone feel.  I've already shared with Peter that I would love a bracelet with the "coordinates" of the hospital in Scottsdale, AZ where both Reins & Addison were born...how's that for dropping a hint!

If you were to personalize a Coordinates Collection piece, where would your "coordinates" be and what mean would they have for you?!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to read...I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Dressed Up In Ever Pretty

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

DRESS C/O (USE CODE KBS20162 FOR A DISCOUNT ON ANY EVER PRETTY DRESS) || BAG || RING || EARRINGS

Talk about feeling fancy...this elegant long black dress from Ever Pretty has me daydreaming of romantic nights somewhere on the Almafi Coast.  And although I may never make it to the Almafi Coast in this dress, I will most definitely be wearing it to some special events right here at home.

You know the general rule of thumb...it's smart to have an amazing LBD, "Little Black Dress" in your wardrobe?!  Well I think LBD has a new meaning now, "Long Black Dress" and in my opinion, a long black dress is a must too.

There have been so many occasions where a more formal long dress would have come in handy versus a short cocktail dress, but I just didn't have one in my closet.  Now I do!

Ever Pretty has an AMAZING selection of evening gowns and cocktail dresses and they are all super affordable too!  If your wheels are turning and if you think like I do, you are probably thinking about weddings, elegant dinners, black tie events, formals, etc.  If you will be going to prom or know someone going to prom this year (granddaughter, daughter, sister, friend, etc) you should definitely shop their dresses.

Or if you are a bride looking for bridesmaids dresses, Ever Pretty is a great online destination to find that perfect dress!

AND, I'm excited to share that Ever Pretty is offering a discount to my supporters!  Use code KBS20162 to receive a discount on any dress...enjoy!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Khombu Boots

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

It's interesting how quickly the weather can change this time of year.  For the last several days, the temps here in Nashville have been in the mid 50's and over night, it has dropped into the 30's and there is a chance of snow.  Up and down, up and down we go.

Just as soon as I think spring is right around the corner, it is time for me to bring back out my cold weather boots!  Luckily, I have the BEST pair of cold weather boots from Khombu.

These boots are lined with faux fur and are equipped to not only fight off the cold but they are also equipped to keep your feet dry on rainy/snowy days.  They also come in a variety of affordable styles.

Winter is not over my friends...if you don't already have a great pair of cold weather boots, I definitely recommend that you invest in a pair of Khombu boots.  After all, cold weather boots never go out of style and winter comes around every year. ;-)

p.s the style that I am wearing appears to no longer be available on their site but I've found two styles that are very similar...HERE & HERE!

Stay warm today and as always, thanks so much for stopping by!

A Story of Spring Fever

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

Yes, it is still February but I am having a major case of spring fever over here and I'm pretty certain I'm not alone.  Although March can be rather cold here in Nashville, I have to think that warmer days are ahead.  I think because it is staying lighter outside a little bit longer, I am being tricked into thinking that warm days are quick to follow.

My story of spring fever starts here...with this AMAZING Maggy London sheath dress!  Their spring story is absolutely gorgeous...think feminine, figure flattering, and just plain BEAUTIFUL.

I adore the baroque print of this sheath dress and the slight cap sleeve.  It is made of scuba material so the material is nice and thick with the perfect amount of stretch.  Form fitting (fits true to size) while still being super flattering!

Wearing this dress from day to night is certainly on the agenda.  Perfect for the office (throw on a little white or black blazer), for date night (remove the blazer and throw on a sleek moto jacket), for attending any event like a shower, wedding reception, graduation, etc.  You name it, this dress will have an invitation!

I've paired this dress with some white accessories to bring out the white in the backdrop of the dress.   Vera Bradley has a beautiful selection of spring inspired leather bags right now and I can't get enough of these gorgeous statement geranium studs.  I mean...I am OBSESSED with these earrings.  You will see them on major repeat this spring/summer!

And if you have not invested in a great pair of gorgeous nude open toed heels, now is the time...you can wear them with everything.  These Steve Madden nude heels are the perfect pair and they are under $80!  The best, most versatile, pair of nude heels you will find for all of your spring/summer looks!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Striped Shirtdress

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

Today's post is going to be short and sweet...you NEED, I mean NEED, this striped shirtdress!  I was lucky to stumble upon this dress when browsing in Old Navy recently and I am so glad that I did, especially for the price!

I immediately fell in love with its slouchy relaxed fit and the overall chic yet easy vibe it puts off the minute I slipped it on.

You know when you have things in your closet that are just easy and no fuss...this dress is exactly that.  A piece that I will be grabbing for time and time again.

Wear it with open toed booties for an early spring look, pair it with heels and a clutch for a night out, or with sneakers and a baseball hat for a trip to the soccer field on Saturday.

Are you in love with this shirtdress yet?!  I think you may be even more in love when I tell you that it is ONLY $16!!!

p.s I am wearing a size small in this dress...it is intended to fit loosely!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by...have a great day!

Spring Scarves

| Photo | Catherine Truman Photo

With Spring right the corner, it is time to start thinking about updating your spring scarf collection!  Think brights, dots, florals, stripes, etc as an easy way to update any look.

For many of us, those early Spring days often times mean chilly mornings and chilly evenings.  When buying a scarf for spring, look for light weight airy scarves.  Scarves that you can easily throw on during those chilly hours and take off (toss in your bag) as the day warms up.

My favorite way to wear a beautiful spring scarf is with a simple white tee and a great pair of boyfriend jeans.  I also tend to wear light scarves into the summer months to cover up my chest or shoulders when out in the sun for a long period of time!  A scarf with a bathing suit looks really cute too!

The scarf that I am wearing is from Shop Urbanite, however I have also put together a collage of some really pretty affordable spring scarves that you can start stocking up on now!

See my picks below...click on the images to shop!

Today I am also linking up with Michelle's Paige and Ana Luiza to share more spring scarf style!

Heart On My Sweater

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

SWEATER C/O (LIMITED EDITION, NO LONGER AVAILABLE) || SKIRT (SIMILAR HERE) || BOOTS C/O || NECKLACE C/O (USE CODE KBSTYLED20 FOR 20% OFF ANY Madden Christopher piece)

This Valentine's cashmere cold shoulder sweater from Marled by Reunited Clothing was the perfect little sweater for Valentine's Day!  The red heart on the grey backdrop just stands out and there is even more visual interest with the cold shoulder accents.  As if that didn't make it cute enough, add thumbholes and you've taken the cute factor up another notch!

Although this sweater was a limited edition sweater and is no longer available, I searched to find a few heart themed sweaters that are super cute too.  And even though Valentine's Day is over, there is always a place for a heart sweater in your closet...after all...Valentine's Day does come around every year. ;-)

Here are a few options that I've rounded up for you:

Pair your heart sweater/top with a faux leather skirt, some tights, and a pair of great boots like these Ted & Muffy "Huntsman" boots and you have yourself a fun flirty whimsical look.

p.s you all MUST check out Madden Christopher!  How gorgeous is this handmade ruby "honeycomb" necklace that I am wearing?!  You will fall in love with these necklaces...they are stunning on their own but they also look beautiful layered with other dainty pieces.

p.s.s PLUS, Madden Christopher is offering my supporters 20% off with code "KBSTYLED20"!  Check them out and let me know what you think!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great Wednesday!
