Black Sequin Holiday Dress with Floral Appliqués

The holidays just aren't complete without a little bit (or A LOT) of sparkle.  This dress bring a major sparkle punch and it is perfect for holiday parties and so much more!

The fit and flare style is figure flattering and I love the floral appliqué design that trickles down from the shoulders...it adds such a beautiful element to this dress and it breaks up the all black backdrop.

The dress zips up the back for easy on and off styling!  I sized up in this dress to ensure that the arms were not too snug.  Sizing up made it slightly loose in the waist but not enough so to have to have it taken in.  Overall this dress is a great fit!  

Sometimes sequins can be a bit itchy too and I found that the thicker liner inside of this dress made it much more comfortable to wear!  

This dress really is such a beautiful holiday dress...one that you are sure to get so many compliments on!

New Year's Eve is right around the corner and I'm personally ready to ring in a new year.  Overall, this past year has been amazing and I'm so excited to see what 2017 has in store.  When thinking back on years past, I can't help but feel a little nostalgic.  Peter and I have created so many great memories over the years, just the two of us, and over the last several years with our little family.

Some of my favorite memories are when we have gotten dressed up, gone out to a nice dinner, and rung the New Year in with family and friends.  There is something so special and magical about closing the chapter of one year just to open the blank pages of a chapter for the new year.

Wedding Season Ready

It's wedding season...the bells are ringing and the birds are singing!  When I think of weddings, I think back to a time in our lives where my Hubby and I had what seemed to be a wedding to attend every weekend.  It was such a fun time in our lives and we enjoyed not only being in many weddings but attending many as well.  Being a part of someone's wedding day is so special and we love looking back at the weddings we have been a part of.

Although wedding season for us has passed (we've been in baby season for some time now) we still have friends who will be tying the knot in the near future and we are already looking forward to celebrating with them.

I know many of you may be going through "wedding season" right now and trying to determine what to wear to every wedding that you are attending can be tough.  After all, you will probably be seeing many of the same people so you can't wear the same dress/outfit.  I'm sure, if you are like me, finding a wedding appropriate dress that is super affordable is just as important.

This gorgeous mesh lace dress is wedding day perfect and at under $60 you just can't go wrong.  If not for the wedding, wear it to the rehearsal dinner or even the bridal showers leading up to the wedding.  It is super classy, yet sexy, and in my opinion it will stand out from the rest.

Sharing a few tips with you for this dress...I sized up to a large in this one and it fits perfectly.  Read the size chart before deciding which size to get.  You can always alter something to make it smaller if necessary but you cannot easily do the opposite.  Because of the mesh paneling, I am wearing a nude strapless bra and a pair of Spanx.  You can certainly wear a regular nude bra but you will see the straps...my vote, go strapless.

I've paired this dress with some nude heels and an AMAZING pair of statement earrings, which are on sale for $25 btw, and a nude bag.  Now, for an actual wedding look, I recommend carrying a small clutch instead.
