So I couldn't keep my hands off of Eliah last night, it seems like I held him and smelled him (no kidding) for 2 hours straight!  If you didn't see yesterday's post, we finally got to meet our friends' 7 week old baby boy and I just have this thing for babies!  Although our children are 5 & 3 1/2 and we are at such a great place in our lives, I often times miss those newborn moments.  But I don't miss those sleepless nights!

Speaking of Mommyhood, Mother's Day is right around the corner and If you are like me, you are starting to think about what you are going to get that special Mom in your life (or you are giving hints to your Hubby/family about what you may want)!  Time with family, a day at the spa, freedom to shop, or maybe a special piece of jewelry that becomes a cherished piece.  How dainty, beautiful, and special are these JLynn Birthstone Twig Necklaces?!  I am wearing the birthstone of our son who was born in February and our daughter who was born in August.  I absolutely ADORE these necklaces!  Wearing my children's birthstones allows me to hold them close to my heart and makes me feel that we are always together.  My JLynn necklaces have easily become two of my most cherished pieces!  I can assure you these will make the perfect Mother's Day gift for that special Mom!

Nasty Gal Get Dropped Polka Dot Dress

Hi everyone!  We are almost half way through the week…who wants to raise the roof with me, whoop whoop?!  Tonight we will be going to meet the sweetest little baby boy who is only weeks old and I can't wait to get my baby fix…ahhh, I could seriously hold and sniff newborns all day long!  Okay, enough baby talk…if my Hubby were to hear me now he would say, "I think it's time for #3"!

I've gotta tell you that lately I have totally been obsessing over drop waist dresses and I absolutely ADORE this Nasty Gal dress.  Anything black & white, anything polka dot (well, within reason), and anything fun & flirty is just fine by me.  The slight ruffle at the hemline of this dress makes it even more flirty and I love the flowy fit of this dress too.  As much as I love a beautiful fit & flare dress, I love dresses that are less constricting and that give plenty of free-flowing room to move!  I've paired this dress with these funky colorful floral print Candie's heels from Kohl's.  I love how bright and fun these heels are and I have worn them with so many different looks already.  To add a little more edge, I'm wearing this gorgeous Stella & Dot Jacinthe bracelet and these Emma Joy ear cuffs!  Viola…a look that's perfect for date night out or a night out with the girls!

Ladies, this post is for you!  How many pairs of heels have you ruined because they have gotten stuck in the mud, grass, wooden decks, or even stuck in cracks on the sidewalk?  I know I have and often times it stains my heel or completely ruins the leather.  There is the perfect solution, I'm not even kidding how great this little invention is, and it is call the Solemates High Heeler!

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend!  Ours was pretty eventful…I completed my 1st ever half marathon under 2:30, YAY!  It feels great to have my first half under my belt and I am already looking at some upcoming 10k's to participate in.  I may have been bitten by the race bug!  And I don't know about you but after such a fun weekend with my family, I definitely have a small case of the Monday blues…if only weekends could be 3 days, right?!

Today's look is all about this Max Studio scarf dress, this Merona tailored striped blazer, and a pretty perfect BCBG tote!  I may not always be able to link the exact item, however I have linked very similar styles above.  I truly hope my looks provide you with overall style inspiration and give you an idea of how to pair pieces.  When buying a dress, I look for something that can be styled multiple ways and that can be worn for various occasions.  Versatility is key to any wardrobe…after all, you want to get the most use out of the clothes that you invest in.  You should absolutely have a tailored striped blazer in your wardrobe…whether it be blue & white, black & white, or any other color, I consider a striped blazer to be a wardrobe staple.  An every day tote is also a staple and this BCBG reversible tote is so gorgeous & affordable…there are so many other great colors to choose from too!

HAPPY FRIDAY my friends!  Gosh does it feel GREAT to say that it is FRIDAY!!!  This weekend is going to be yet another busy one as I am running in my 1st half marathon on Saturday morning…EEEKKK!  A couple of girlfriends and I will be running in the Country Music Marathon (1/2 for us), which should be a lot of fun because there will be live music throughout the course in hopes of keeping us all pumped up!  I'm super excited yet nervous too because this will be the farthest I have ever run IN MY LIFE.  Please send positive thoughts and wishes for some sunshine our way!  AND, if you have any tips…please leave them in the comments below…all are welcome! 

For today's look I am wearing this gorgeous Elle for Kohl's "Dot Pleated Crepe Dress" in the color "blue bonnet".  I happened to be drawn to this dress first off for the gorgeous blue color but also because I love a fit and flare style.  Although this dress is pretty perfect on its own, I've thrown on a cropped belted 3/4 sleeve jacket as well since we are still having some chilly days here in Nashville.  This look is definitely work appropriate and can easily become weekend appropriate when you take the jacket and heels off…just add some sandals and a straw tote for a much more casual look!

Hi everyone!  We are inching closer to the weekend and this outfit has me feeling weekend ready!  I'm kind of obsessing over Krystle Dawn's turbans.  Her Spring & Summer designs are bright, colorful, lightweight, and flirty.  I'm wearing her "Wildflower" skinny turban but I'm also crushing on her pineapple, flamingo, and cacti headbands too…they are seriously so cute!

And how gorgeous are these handmade jewels by Julie Ellyn Designs?!  Her beaded wrap bracelets are absolutely gorgeous and are beautifully made.  These earrings also compliment my "Wildflower" turban for an overall bohemian chic weekend ready look!

For whatever reason, today's look makes me think of country music…maybe it's the denim jacket & the boots or maybe it's just because of the location where we shot this look.  We shot at a great location in Franklin, TN and I've spotted many country stars out and about in this area before…how fun is it that so many of them live in Nashville and are always out mingling with locals?!  I think that's why I love country music so much…they all just seem so down to earth.
