Bon Voyage: used to express good wishes to someone about to go on a journey.  Just thinking about the origin of this word makes me wish I was boarding a plane, train, or boat and hearing "Bon Voyage" as I set off to some amazing destination.

And if I were heading off on such a wonderful journey I would wear this "Bon Voyage" striped midi dress from Dainty Jewells.  It is such a beautiful classy and timeless dress that makes me feel like I should be sitting outside of a small cafe in southern Italy with a basket full of fresh flowers and a cappuccino.  Ahhhh, one can dream!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Dainty Jewell's Pink Gingham Dress

| Photos | Madi Flournoy Henderson

Yesterday was the first day of spring and in less than a week, we will be celebrating Easter!  Is anyone else confused about how quickly we went from ringing in the New Year to Easter weekend?!  Where has the time gone?!

Last week I shared 3 dresses with you all (dress #1, dress #2, & dress #3)...I'm not sure if it is obvious to you all or not BUT I am a dress girl.  You will see me in a lot of different dresses throughout the spring & summer months and I promise to bring you a variety of styles.  I just LOVE wearing dresses!

This gorgeous pink gingham dress from Dainty Jewell's gives me all of the spring feels.  The silky material, the maxi length, the button front, the tie waist, the pink gingham and THE POCKETS!  What more can I say about how amazing this dress is?!

There is nothing more southern than wearing pink gingham and you all know, I'm a southern girl!  This dress brings out that southern belle (not that she isn't present at all times, haha ;-)) and it certainly makes me feel very feminine and girly.

From a size perspective, I am wearing a medium!  I started with a small but because I am a 34C, the buttons pulled a little so I sized up to a medium.  The material does not have any stretch as it is a gorgeous silly material so you may want to consider sizing up.

Hope you all have a great start to your week!  I know many are also enjoying spring break this week as well so I hope you are having a blast whatever you may be doing!  Reins is on spring break but we are staying in town...I'm sure we will busy ourselves with plenty of fun things this week.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Dainty Jewell's "Marvelous" Dress

DRESS C/O || EYEWEAR C/O || EARRINGS C/O || BRACELET C/O || BAG C/O

This dress from Dainty Jewell's is in fact "MARVELOUS"!  Everything about it is perfection...it is super soft, beyond comfortable, AND it has pockets.  Who else loves a dress with pockets?!  What more could you ask for?!

Although this color is not available, this "marvelous" dress comes in mocha and charcoal, which are two neutral colors that can be styled so many different ways.  This is also the perfect dress to transition into spring.  It is heavy enough to wear with tights and booties now, yet light enough to wear with heels or wedge sandals in the spring.

I'm all for comfy beautiful pieces that are functional throughout the year and this dress hits the mark...BIG TIME!  Plus it is under $50...yet another star in my book.

This dress is meant to fit loosely..for a size reference, I am wearing a size small!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and cheers to being almost half way through the week!

Sugar Plum Perfection to Ring In The New Year

| Photos | Kate Davis Photo

I'm putting my sequins to the side for a moment and ringing in the New Year wearing this gorgeous "Sugar Plum" floral dress from Dainty Jewell's.  This dress is hands down one of the MOST gorgeous, MOST unique dresses I have ever worn.

The rich plum color, the embellished floral fabric, the high waistline, the pleats, the sleeves, the length, the semi mandarin collar, the fit, the shape...SWOON and SWOON some more!

Can you tell how much I adore this dress?!

This dress is a classic beautiful piece that can be worn for so many different occasions...New Year's Eve for example, a wedding, a formal, a black tie event, a charity ball, a social, brunch, church...and on and on.  You get the picture!

To complete my New Year's Eve look, I've added these gorgeous metallic gold leather earrings from Nickel & Suede, these stunning bangles from Bronzallure, and this aubergine quilted Stella Satchel!

So...what will you be doing to ring in the New Year?!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

The Central Park Dress + Holiday Giveaway

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

Take me away to New York City where I can walk the city streets, take in the sights, and have a leisurely brunch in this gorgeous "Central Park Dress".  I'm pretty certain Carrie Bradshaw would approve!  Don't you think?!

Dots, pleats, midi-skirt...it doesn't get any better than that!  This Dainty Jewell's dress is beautifully made and the fabric is so rich and gorgeous.  How perfect is this dress for the holidays?!  I've added a pop of red, the perfect compliment to such a classic color combo and a faux fur snood to make this look a bit more holiday festive!

This dress is a beautiful timeless piece that you will have from year to year and that you will wear for so many different occasions.

For a size reference, I am wearing a size small, however you may want to consider sizing up as the material of this dress doesn't stretch very much and it has a zipper back.  ALSO...the last day to order any dress from Dainty Jewell's and still receive it before Christmas is 12/17!

The Gingham Sweater Dress

| Photos | Catherine Truman Photo

Happy Friday friends!  I'm thinking we may ALL be excited that it is Friday and that the weekend is just few (hopefully short) hours ahead of us.

With the holidays upon us, weekend get togethers are on many of our calendars.  Our first is Saturday night and we will be joining several other couples for a great dinner at a new restaurant called Tupelo Honey.  Of course the girls organized a secret Santa gift exchange too!

I love dressing up this time of year for nights out with friends and holiday parties.  This Dainty Jewell's gingham sweater dress will be on repeat this holiday season.   I've already worn this dress to a couple of local events as well and I received so many compliments on it.  I'm pretty sure I will also wear this dress for Christmas Eve service as well!

There is so much to LOVE about this dress...the large gingham pattern (which is on trend), the fact that the dress is made of the softest sweater material, the beautiful ruffle detail around the neckline and sleeves, the tea length, the fact that it is not just beautiful but warm too, and the fact that it is super versatile!  Again, what's not to love?!

If you are looking for a beautiful classic dress for the holiday season and beyond, this dress is for you!  For a size reference, I'm wearing a size small.

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I wish you all a great Friday and a beautiful weekend ahead!

Holiday Look - Dainty Jewell's Leopard Print Dress

Happy Friday friends!  As soon as Halloween is over, I begin to think about the upcoming Christmas holiday and all of the fun festive parties that are to come.

I begin my hunt for a few different holiday looks and I'm looking for something that will stand out!  Of course I always gravitate towards sequins (let's just be honest here...I LOVE sequins) but I also love a beautiful dress that is a little outside of the box like this leopard print dress from Dainty Jewell's.

Not only is this dress your "outside of the box" dress for all of those fun holiday parties but it is also a dress that you will wear time and time again for so many other occasions.  If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen that I wore this dress to the grand opening party of Reese Witherspoon's new store here in Nashville, Draper James.  This dress is a conversation starter and you will certainly be asked time and time again, "where did you get that dress?"!

Today, I am showing you how to take this dress and glam it up for the holidays (see the collages below).  My instinct is to grab emerald green, pink, or red pieces to compliment this fun yet classy leopard print.  I especially love emerald green paired with it and even wore some emerald green earrings to the Draper James event.

Not that this dress isn't spectacular on it's own and black heels will do just fine, but adding a pop of color here and there just makes it that much more fun!

Which color would you pair with this dress?!

Hope you have gotten some holiday outfit inspiration today and I can assure you, this dress will be in your closet for years to come!

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Friday!
