I cannot begint to tell you how many times I have already worn this dress and for how many occasions it is perfect for.  I've worn it to events, work, church, dinner out, etc.  I've grabbed for this dress time and time again.  See the pic below of an event that I hosted while wearing this dress!

And how FAB is this incredible pink leather embellished jacket?!  This jacket is edgy yet super feminine too...the perfect combo!  It compliments this dress so well!

The fit is flattering, the tassel tie shoulders add a special touch, and the floral pattern/colors is beautiful!  This is a versatile dress that can be worn for many occasions.

It's Friday and this bold red floral off the shoulder dress makes me want to FIESTA!  This dress is just so fun to wear and it is definitely a stand out!  I especially love the off the shoulder double ruffle detail.

You can never have too many fun flirty floral dresses in your closet...am I right?!

Ruffle Floral Summer Dress with Nordstrom

Does this dress grab your attention?  It certainly grabbed mine!  The fun colorful floral print on the black backdrop makes this dress such a stand out.  The off the shoulder style is perfect for these warm summer months and the lace trimmed ruffles adds such a girly feminine touch to this gorgeous dress.

I can't help but be drawn to bright colors and of course as you know, I'm always drawn to a beautiful floral print.  Adding a pop of yellow with these adorable heels seemed like a no brainer and this clutch...oh my THIS CLUTCH.  It was love at first sight.  The stripe pattern and the rainbow of poms across the front of this envelope style clutch is just so summery and fun.  And how fun are the little mirrored pom tassels that hang down from the side too?!  This bag is surprisingly roomy and I love that it can be dressed up and dressed down.  

I must mention that this dress is currently 40% off?!  It really is such a steal and will be a dress that you can wear year to year.  It's one of those that will not go out of style and that you will find yourself gravitating towards for a variety of occasions and just for every day wear too.

Dressed for Summer with Nordstrom

The first official day of summer is this week and although we've personally already welcomed summer, I'm looking forward to those longer days where the sun doesn't set until 8:30pm or later.  We love spending summer evenings outside as a family!  Popsicles on the porch and chasing fireflies are two of our favorite things to do.

Most of you know that I LIVE in dresses during the summer.  I would much rather wear a light breezy dress than anything else when it is hot outside.  Not only are dresses perfect for staying cool during the hot summer months but they are also versatile and easy to wear for a variety of occasions.  From running errands, to an outdoor cookout with family or friends, to a date night, or to a wedding...a beautiful summer dress is perfect for all occasions.

Every summer season, I shop for new dresses at Nordstrom.  They have THE BEST selection of summer dresses and I'm alway able to find just what I'm looking for.  From casual to dressy, you can find the perfect dress for every occasion.

When shopping most recently, I saw this gorgeous floral off the shoulder maxi dress at Nordstrom and I was immediately drawn to the style, colors, and bold floral print.  We have some evening events this summer and I knew this dress would work perfectly for some of those events.  I paired it with simple blush heels and a bright white fold envelope clutch.  To not take away from the bold floral print, I kept my earring choice simple with these Sophia drop earrings.

Contemporary Women's Work Wear with Nordstrom

Most recently, Nordstrom has been my go-to destination for women's work wear and if you missed my first work wear post with Nordstrom, you can read more HERE.

So today I'm excited to team up with Nordstrom again to show you a more contemporary work wear look that is versatile and easy to transition from day to night.

This gorgeous tropical body-con Ted Baker dress is a power player.  Instead of a "power suit" this is a  "power dress".  It is chic and ultra feminine and the bold floral print is perfect for the warm summer months.  The midi length of the dress is perfect for the office too.  Pair this dress with a blazer for an even more polished and professional look.

I paired this dress with these gorgeous Ted Baker bow pumps...they add such a special touch to this overall contemporary work wear look.  And every working gal needs a beautiful and functional handbag that is also a statement piece like this Kate Spade satchel. 

To take this look from the office to a week night social, event, or dinner out, I recommend putting on a pair of strappy open toe heels, carrying a simple clutch, and taking off the pearl necklace.

Pippa Off the Should Maxi Dress

I'm pretty sure this Pippa off the shoulder maxi dress is what every gals maxi dress dreams are made of!  The navy backdrop with the all over bold floral print makes this dress a total stand out and of course I love the off the shoulder style with the ruffle detail.

Maxi dresses are perfect to dress up or down.  Because of the length, you can easily transform your look from day to night making it super versatile.  Think casual cook out with friends, to graduation party, to attending a friends wedding...this dress would be perfect for all of those occasions.

Because I'm 5'4", I'm wearing a higher heel but you can also wear this with wedge sandals and if you don't need the extra boost, you can wear it with sandals too.

Golden Floral Bardot Midi Dress

A little Sunday morning sunshine today...this dress just brightens my day.  The bold yellow flowers are so cheerful and the off the shoulder style creates an ultra feminine feel.  Plus the fit & flare midi-length style is so figure flattering too.

Because the print of this dress is so bold, I chose not to add a lot of accessories.  The dress stands out on its own.  I chose black heels to pull out the black in the center of the flowers but you could also wear a nude heel or even add a pop of color like red or emerald green!

Sizing tip...read the "size guide" in inches before selecting your size.  I'm wearing a UK size 10 and it fits perfectly!

Yellow Metallic Floral Midi Dress

If you are looking for an elegant special occasion dress, this yellow metallic floral midi dress should be at the top of your list.  It's such a unique dress...the bright yellow backdrop with bold metallic floral print makes this dress a stand out in a crowd kind of dress.  I adore the subtle sweetheart neckline that moves into a dainty off the shoulder style.  It also has straps (sorry, my hair is covering the straps), which creates even more visual interest and provides extra support!

It's hard to describe how pretty this dress is...the pictures just don't do it justice!  In this brand, I typically size up, so I wore a 6 in this dress and because I have smaller shoulders, I did have the straps taken up a tad, which only cost me around $10.  And y'all...it is currently 40% off, which is such a STEAL for this beauty!

When wearing a midi style, I recommend a heel that helps elongate your legs (unless you are tall as is) so I chose these platform style open toe heels.  Not only do they give me the extra height that I need but they are super comfy too!

And how FAB is this black studded clutch?!  I love the practical size, the asymmetrical fold over style, and the stud details give it a bit of edge.  Love a little tough with a whole lotta sweet! ;-)

Again, think wedding, bridal shower, graduation party, evening event, etc...this dress would be perfect for those occasions and more!
