Floral Fluffy Winter Sweater

What's not to love about a beautiful floral winter sweater that is fuzzy (not itchy), comfortable, and of course super warm?!  The soft peach backdrop with the burgundy floral print immediately stood out to me and the minute I slipped on this sweater, I knew it had to find its way to my closet.  I mean...a girl can never have too many sweaters, right?!

This sweater is affordable (priced right at $75) and I can assure you, will be grabbing for it time and time again.  I also snagged these jeans which are my new favs...because I am 5'4" they cut off at the right place and the fit is soooo good!  Both the sweater and denim fit true to size!

We are now well into sweater season and things have gotten a lot more cozy around here! This is my favorite season...who doesn't love cozying up in a warm sweater on a crisp Fall day?!  I honestly think I have a sweater obsession...totally normal, right?!  I just can't fight the urge to buy yet another sweater each Fall season.  Who else is with me?

Today I'm sharing probably one of the coziest cardigan sweaters on the block...this "Saturday Morning" sweater cardigan from Nordstrom.  I mean, the name of this sweater says it all and you will find me cozied up in this sweater many Saturday mornings to come.

The chunky knit and easy silhouette make this sweater one that you will never want to take off.  It is so cute on and I'm not kidding when I say that it is beyond comfortable too.  I love the soft sweater material...its not itchy at all, which is a must for me!  I typically wear this cardigan over a simple white v-neck tee and a pair of distressed denim.

I was immediately drawn to this bright royal blue color (I promised myself I would wear more bright colors this Fall season) but if blue is not your thing, this sweater also comes in a gorgeous pink color!

I spent a little more on this sweater than I normally would BUT it was worth every penny.  With the amount of wear I will get out of this sweater this season and Fall seasons to come, I knew I would be making a smart investment in a piece that I would wear a lot and have for a long time.  For me, great sweaters are totally worth investing in!

Nordstrom has been my one stop shop this Fall season and I've found some of my absolute favorite sweaters there.  I've included some of my other top sweater picks this season that will also be keeping me cozy and warm!  Also...Nordstrom is currently having their Fall sale so now is the time to stock up on some Fall essentials...like SWEATERS!

Just out of curiosity...how many new sweaters do you buy each Fall or Winter season?!  Just checking myself to see if I have gone overboard this year. ;-)

Fall Layers with Nordstrom

Hope you all had a fun and festive Halloween!  Our kiddos had a lot of fun...we had one skeleton and one friendly ghost.  I'm guessing the days of cutesy costumes may be over...sigh.  We still had so much fun putting our costumes together and of course they loved trick-or-treating with friends.  It's hard to believe that Halloween has now come and gone and we will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving!

It has been so wonderful to watch the change of seasons and to bundle up in the cooler Fall temps that we have had lately.  We've even turned on our fireplace a few times!  There is nothing like a night at home in front of our fireplace...it's one of our favorite things to do, especially on the weekends!

I've really enjoyed being able to wear more layers lately, including sweaters, and today I'm sharing this layered Fall look with Nordstrom.  

This floral dress immediately caught my eye because of its rich Fall colors and fit & flare style.  It is such a flattering dress and it comes in various other prints as well!  At under $80, it is the perfect dress to layer with a sweater for Fall.

I also found this cozy cardigan sweater to layer over my dress.  Mustard yellow has been trending for Fall and it pulls out the yellow in this dress.  Not only is this cardi sweater perfect for layering over this dress but it is truly perfect for layering over anything!  It is so comfortable and a tad bit oversized...again, ideal for layering.  Plus, I love that it has pockets! 

Nordstrom has been my go-to destination for Fall layering pieces.  I can always find exactly what I am looking for (and MORE)!

Not So Basic Fall Basics with Nordstrom

I love classic wardrobe staples that are considered basic but that aren't so basic.  When looking for the perfect black blazer and white v-neck tee for this Fall season, I went straight to Nordstrom as I knew they would offer the best selection.  Sure enough, I found exactly what I was looking for!

In a prior post, I shared with you all that blazers are on trend this season and Nordstrom has an amazing selection of gorgeous blazers...from classic black, to velvet, to plaid, to military inspired...they have just about every style of blazer you could possibly think of!

I specifically was looking for a classic black blazer and when I came across this longline boyfriend blazer, it immediately stood out to me.  What I love most about this particular blazer is its length...I wanted something that hit below my hip.  I was also searching for a light weight blazer...one that I can wear over tees, dresses, and casual tops.  The fit is perfect as well...all in all, this particular blazer is exactly what I have been searching for!

Blazers are no longer just for the workplace.  Although structured and polished, they can absolutely be dressed down for a much more casual look.  Blazers are super versatile as well...wear a blazer to work and then pair it with a distressed denim and a tee for a casual weekend look.  Blazers are so chic and always add a polished touch to any outfit.

Nordstrom has been my go-to destination for Fall basics like this classic black blazer and this white v-neck tee!  I also wear these muted black distressed jeans, also from Nordstrom, all of the time...they have become one of my favorite pair of jeans.

Light Fall Layers with Nordstrom

Have you noticed that I like pairing floral prints with camo prints?! "Baby I'm sorry, I'm not sorry" (in  my best Demi Lovato voice).  There's just something about these two prints together that I LOVE!  Florals always make me feel so feminine while camo always makes me feel a bit more tough and edgy.  Both this dress and this camo jacket are perfect for Fall layering.

It hasn't even cooled off enough here in Nashville to truly consider it Fall yet, BUT cooler weather is on the way.  I'm taking advantage of light layers right now and Nordstrom always has the best selection of Fall dresses, light jackets, and booties.

This floral dress immediately caught my eye because of the creme backdrop, the rustic floral print, and all of the rich Fall colors.  I mean...can't you just see yourself walking through a park in this dress with Fall leafs dropping all around you?!  Don't mind my daydream. ;-)  I also love the choker neckline, which is a big trend for Fall 2017. p.s this dress is under $50!

And you've seen this camo jacket many times before and you will see it again!  I truly wear it all of the time...it is hands down my favorite camo jacket that I own.  The structured fit as well as the shoulder and zipper detail make this camo jacket stand out from all of the rest.  It's a great investment piece because camo is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Versatile Fall Dress - Nordstrom

Nordstrom does it again!  I can always find exactly what I am looking for at Nordstrom.  I was on the hunt for a new black dress...one that wasn't a basic black dress and one that was versatile enough to wear for a variety of occasions.  I found it!

This triangle print stretch knit dress immediately caught my eye because of the print and because of the fun collar and cuffs on the sleeve!  I plan to wear this dress for work functions, church, and out at night with my Hubby or with girlfriends.  Pair it with closed toe heels for an even more buttoned up look or create a more edgy look with some funky peep toe booties.  With a black and white blank slate, you can add just about any pop of color to this dress as well!

For today's post, I specifically had a work wear look in mind...this look is office ready.  I paired it with this fun embellished boxy crossbody bag (I mean, how cute is this bag?!) for even more visual interest.  This bag added my pop of color with a subtle blush backdrop and emerald embellishments.

Gearing up for Fall with Nordstrom

Someone said to me recently that she would have never paired plaid and camo together but that she LOVED the way it looks!  In my opinion, plaid and camo are two very versatile prints that you can pair with so many things.  

Camo print has become a neutral, similar to cheetah print, even though it is far from neutral and far from basic!  You can wear camo print with solids, stripes, florals, plaid, dots, etc...really, the options are endless!  If you are going to start out wearing something camo print, I recommend a chic structured piece like this camo jacket from Nordstrom.   It is a great layering piece and it instantly elevates your look!  I will be wearing this jacket all Fall long with so many different tops and even over dresses.  I love wearing a structured como jacket over a beautiful flowy Fall floral dress!  For the price, this jacket is an excellent buy...I promise, you will wear it soooooo much!

Plaid is always a print that you see surface every Fall/Winter season.  From plaid tops, to plaid sweaters, skirts, pants, and of course...plaid scarves!!!  Plaid is such a classic print and it too can be paired with so many other prints!  My two personal favorite combinations are plaid with camo and plaid with stripes!  I just loved the traditional plaid print of this ruffle top...the color is rich, the plaid pattern is gorgeous, and the ruffle detail along the shoulders (along with the bell sleeve) easily made this top stand out to me.

And how cute is the jeweled crossbody bag?!  I love the green stones on the soft pink background...so pretty and perfect for everyday wear or dress up for an evening out!
