A Date with Macy's

I'm stepping out on a date with Macy's for their Semi-Annual Diamond Sale, which runs from 3/27/16 until 4/12/16!

For today's post, I was able to put together some looks which also features some gorgeous pieces from Marchesa, EFFY, Le Vain, and X3!

I must admit, it was rather dreamy picking fine jewelry pieces that I love and would enjoy wearing.  These are just a few of the gorgeous pieces that are currently on sale right now.  If you are in the market for fine jewelry, now is definitely the time to shop Macy's semi-annual diamond sale.  I've already given my Hubby some hints...Mother's Day is coming up and we also celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary a little later this year (never too early to plan ahead ;-)).

First look...CLASSIC WITH AN EDGE...

There is nothing more classic right now than a great pair of distressed denim, a moto jacket, a basic white top (especially peplum tops, which are trending right now), animal print shoes & clutch, as well as gorgeous gold pieces to complete your look.  I've accessorized this look with several pieces from Macy's semi-annual diamond sale but my absolute two favorite pieces are this gorgeous MARCHESA diamond star ring and these stand out EFFY diamond round stud earrings!

Up next...DATE NIGHT...

Tie neck dresses are also trending right now and I love the subtle star print of this gorgeous tie neck dress!  Pair it with a great pair of black lace up heels and a gorgeous clutch and you are ready for a date night out on the town.  The pieces that I picked for this look are all from LE VIAN.  I'm obsessed with these gorgeous Neo Geo earrings and this diamond bangle (which would make a beautiful addition to your arm stack).  I also love the tones and crisscross design of this stunning LE VIAN ring.

Last look...SPECIAL OCCASION...

We all have special occasion events that we attend and it is always a smart idea to have a beautiful dress in your closet like this gorgeous navy lace dress.  Something that you love and that you know will work for so many different special occasion events.  You should also have a great pair of nude heels and a go to special occasion clutch in your closet as well.  For this look, I have picked a couple of classic timeless pieces from X3.  This X3 diamond ring is so dainty and beautiful and the diamond earrings are so classic and timeless.  I encourage every woman to have a pair of diamond earrings in their jewelry box...they aren't just for special occasion.  If you are a minimalist when it comes to jewelry, you will find that diamond earrings will be you go to pair...dressed up or dressed down.

Grey & Blush Duet Dress

Blush and grey is such a popular color combo right now...in fact, I just posted a blush and grey floral palm print dress on Friday last week.  So I guess it is safe to say that I am drawn to this soft feminine color combo.

When I stumbled across this "duet dress" at Loft, I took one double take and next thing you knew, I was in the dressing room trying it on.  They had just put this dress on the floor (it wasn't even listed on their website yet) so I felt like I was walking out with the latest and greatest from Loft.

This dress is beyond comfortable and I love it paired with a great pair of cowgirl boots like my "Jamie" Tecova boots.  These are the MOST comfortable cowgirl boots I have ever owned...they feel like butter.  If you are in the market for a pair of cowgirl boots, definitely check Tecovas out!

This dress was not only meant to be worn during the day but it was also meant to be dressed up for a night out too!  Throw on a pair of nude heels and a great moto jacket and you are ready to take on the the town.

I also wanted to point out these two pieces of personalized jewelry.  They are from Love Always Couture and the necklace has our wedding date on it (we will be celebrating 10 years this year) and the ring has my monogram on it!  

Either of these special pieces would make the perfect gift for so many occasions...Mother's Day, graduation, birthday, anniversary, bridal shower, wedding gift, etc.

Fab'rik Blush & Grey Palm Print Dress

I'm working to build up my closet with lots of beautiful BLUSH colored pieces...I can't get enough of this gorgeous color right now.   Who else is with me?!

 This chic flowy dress from Fab'rik Nashville has easily become one of my favorite blush pieces.   I love the grey flowery palm pattern, which turns up the springtime & summertime heat up a few notches. 

I adore the loose flowy handkerchief style of this dress and the subtle dip in the back which adds a little unexpected touch.

Tie Neck Dresses

Tie neck blouses and dresses have been trending for several months now and I am starting to see them pop up all over the place in various spring styles & colors.

What I love most about this trend is that it is a nod to the 70's with a more modern twist.  Tie necks add so much visual interest to the neckline and they draw the eye up towards your face.  Tie it around your neck for a more polished buttoned up look or let the tie hang loosely for a more relaxed look.

This particular dress is now only available in black but the black is just as amazing and to be honest, much more versatile!  From a size perspective...I am wearing a small.  This brad runs about a size too large so I would say you could size down if you would like!

Dainty Jewell's Pink Gingham Dress

Yesterday was the first day of spring and in less than a week, we will be celebrating Easter!  Is anyone else confused about how quickly we went from ringing in the New Year to Easter weekend?!  Where has the time gone?!

  Last week I shared 3 dresses with you all (dress #1, dress #2, & dress #3)...I'm not sure if it is obvious to you all or not BUT I am a dress girl.  You will see me in a lot of different dresses throughout the spring & summer months and I promise to bring you a variety of styles.  I just LOVE wearing dresses!

This gorgeous pink gingham dress from Dainty Jewell's gives me all of the spring feels.  The silky material, the maxi length, the button front, the tie waist, the pink gingham and THE POCKETS!  What more can I say about how amazing this dress is?!

There is nothing more southern than wearing pink gingham and you all know, I'm a southern girl!  This dress brings out that southern belle (not that she isn't present at all times, haha ;-)) and it certainly makes me feel very feminine and girly.

I've paired this dress with some nude heels, a classic white leather quilted crossbody bag, and a gold monogrammed ring!

From a size perspective, I am wearing a medium!  I started with a small but because I am a 34C, the buttons pulled a little so I sized up to a medium.  The material does not have any stretch as it is a gorgeous silly material so you may want to consider sizing up.

The color blush has been trending for some time and I don't see this color going anywhere anytime soon!  Which is just fine by me because I absolutely love this color and can't get enough of it.  If you want to try it out without wearing solid blush, this beautiful Maggy London frosted blush dress is the perfect dress for you!
