This wildflower dress has proven itself to be one of my summer favorites...I bought it on sale and now it is an extra % off!  Even though we are on the tail end of summer, NOW is the time to shop for summer pieces.  Smart savvy shoppers always shop end of season sales because you can find beautiful classic pieces that you can wear from season to season, just like this summer maxi dress.

The fit is flattering, the tassel tie shoulders add a special touch, and the floral pattern/colors is beautiful!  This is a versatile dress that can be worn for many occasions.

Pippa Off the Should Maxi Dress

I'm pretty sure this Pippa off the shoulder maxi dress is what every gals maxi dress dreams are made of!  The navy backdrop with the all over bold floral print makes this dress a total stand out and of course I love the off the shoulder style with the ruffle detail.

Maxi dresses are perfect to dress up or down.  Because of the length, you can easily transform your look from day to night making it super versatile.  Think casual cook out with friends, to graduation party, to attending a friends wedding...this dress would be perfect for all of those occasions.

Because I'm 5'4", I'm wearing a higher heel but you can also wear this with wedge sandals and if you don't need the extra boost, you can wear it with sandals too.

You've heard me say this before but I could honestly LIVE in dresses come spring and summer!  I love how easy it is to just throw on a dress and go.  Plus there is just always something about a dress that makes me feel beautiful!

Some of my absolute favorite dresses, like this gorgeous deep navy embroidered dress, have come from VICI!  If you haven't had a chance to shop VICI yet, you MUST.  Not only are their dresses gorgeous but they are so also unique and super affordable.

To no surprise, my obsession with Vici continues and my wish list keeps growing!  Their pieces are just so fun, unique, and GORGEOUS!  Not to mention...they quality is excellent and their prices are amazing.

First off I have a thing for dresses, I think you all know that by now.  Secondly, I especially have a thing for long floral maxi dresses and dresses that have interesting details to them.

How gorgeous is the Tuscan Romance wrap dress and the Blue Bonnet maxi dress?!  The colors and the prints, #SWOON...need I say more?!  Both of these dresses are wear now wear later.  Wear now with sandals or strappy heels and wear later with booties, a cute floppy hat, and a moto jacket.  Because the colors are richer with fall undertones, you can totally take both of these dresses right into Fall!

And the Bernal Flirt dress is such a fun edgy dress to wear for a date night or for a night out with the girls.  The back detail of this dress is my absolute favorite!!!  Wear now and wear later...switch out strappy heels for over the knee boots, throw on a black moto jacket, and you are ready to take on the town!

Mother's Day with New York & Company

This will be my 6th Mother's Day as a Mom of two and I can't tell you all how lucky I feel to have been blessed with two happy healthy children.  Reins is 6 and Addison is 4 1/2 and they are starting to truly understand what Mother's Day means.  When asked, they both say, "it's a special day for Mommy"!

Both mine and Peter's Mom's live out of state so we typically celebrate Mother's Day just the 4 of us and it always ends up being a very special day.  In years past, we haven't busied ourself with too much, after all, just being together is what is most important.  I've always woken up to lots of snuggles and some very sweet cards on Mother's Day.  In the past we have gone to church, taken a long family walk, played and played some more, and then ended the day with dinner out.

My focus is always on our children on Mother's Day...after all, they are the sweet little beings who have given me the privilege to be their Mommy.  So typically, whatever they want to do on Mother's Day is what we end up doing!  Being with them and counting my blessings is what I enjoy doing most!

I asked Reins and Addison the other day what they wanted to do on Mother's Day this year and Reins said "play and go to special dinner" and Addison said, "maybe we can eat doughnuts"!  My reply..."I think we can do all of those things"!  It's the simple things and I love that they just want to spend time all together as a family.

Peter has already shared with me that I need to be dressed and ready to go on Sunday morning and when asked, "how should I be dressed" his reply was "dress up in a pretty dress".  Thankfully I have the perfect dress to wear this Mother's Day and it is this gorgeous "Jardin Maxi Dress" from the new Eva Mendes Mother's Day collection from New York & Co.  It's dressy yet not too dress and it is perfect for just about any occasion.  Not to mention, it is super comfortable so I'll be able to play with my babies and pick them up without caution.

To complete my Mother's Day look, I've added this dainty layered "Madre" necklace also from the Eva Mendes collection.  It is the perfect compliment to such a pretty dress!

No matter how you will be spending your Mother's Day, I do hope it is very special for you!  Maybe there will be a special dinner and some doughnuts (or two) on the horizon for your special day.

Winter Bouquet Dress

This post is one of my absolute favorites this season because I am completely obsessed with this Winter Bouquet Dress from Shabby Apple!  The feminine yet bohemian vibes, the gorgeous rich winter colors, the beautiful floral print...it is just PERFECT.

If you've followed along with KBStyled for a while, you will have noticed that I love wearing beautiful dresses.  I love how they make me feel...feminine, polished, and chic.

Many people steer clear of dresses in the winter...not this gal.  Dresses aren't just meant to be worn in the spring/summer.  Throw on a leather jacket, maybe even a faux fur snood, and head on your merry winter way!  Shabby Apple has such a gorgeous selection of dresses and long maxi skirts that are perfect for this time of year too!

WINTER FLORAL MAXI DRESS

Yes it is December and yes it is getting colder, but that doesn't mean that you have to hang up your maxi dresses.  Dresses, especially maxi dresses, and floral prints are my thing...I can never get enough!  The two together make for a feminine, romantic, boho chic look.  And I love that many brands continue to showcase this style right into the winter months.

Of course this particular dress is sold out (sorry y'all!)...it was part of Lauren Conrad's runway collection and it sold out rather quickly BUT, I've created a collage of some other beautiful options (see below)!

I recently wore this particular dress with a fur vest over it for our family photo session.  So when thinking about long floral maxi dresses for winter, think tights, knee high boots, ankle booties, a vest, a leather jacket, a sweater, etc...these are all pieces that will pair nicely with a winter maxi.

AND when shopping for a winter maxi dress...look for rich colors & color combos that reflect the season such as the plum, burgundy, and beige color scheme of the dress that I am wearing.

Next up, I will be wearing a chunky sweater over this dress to give it a totally different look and of course to stay warm!
