I can't help but look at these pictures of our sweet "baby" girl and wonder how she got so big! She is growing up way too fast and I just wish time would slow down. She brings us so much joy...her smile and laughter is just the best thing EVER!
We always end up giggling (and tickling) during our shoots together and I'm excited to team up with Matilda Jane for today's post. I'm wearing the "Light As Air Dress" and Addison is wearing the "Dune Buggy Emilia Dress". I adore the soft sweet look of Addison's dress and the ruffle detail on my dress is so feminine and fun! And I also love being able to coordinate with Addison without being too matchy matchy. Matilda Jane has the perfect pieces for those "Mommy & Me" looks!

Here we are Friday...we meet again!!! With a 3 day weekend ahead and vacation right around the corner, I can't tell you how excited I am that it is Friday. Clearly my ear to ear smile says it all!
My weekend style is simple...recently it has been cutoff denim shorts and cute tops like this embroidered top from Charming Charlie. This top is so comfortable, soft, and breezy. The embroidered detail is gorgeous and even better yet, it is under $30! And these colors just so happen to be perfect for Memorial Day festivities too!

Do you see that little ham?! That's our Addison and she and I had the best time shooting these Matilda Jane looks together. She didn't need much guidance, she kind of just "did her thing" if you know what I mean. ;-)
Addison loves trying on clothes. She will put on an outfit and within 15 minutes she is back in her room changing into another outfit. This would go on all day long if we would let her! So when she receives new Matilda Jane pieces in the mail, you can image the fashion show that she puts on for us. I can always tell how special she feels when wearing her Matilda Jane pieces and I can totally understand why...they are ADORABLE!
She always tells me how much she loves dressing like Mommy or dressing to match Mommy so when we have the opportunity to dress in coordinating pieces she is sooooo happy. I've enjoyed wearing Matilda Jane as well...their pieces are feminine, classic, pretty, and down right comfortable!
I adore the floral print on this "Marzipan Rose Dress"...the colors and print POP on the muted grey backdrop. I've added the "Spoonful of Sugar" dress extender to add an extra feminine layer with a little peek-a-boo of lace detailing.

For those of you that count on a Monday post each week, my apologies, my need for sleep caught up to me on Sunday night and I fell asleep while writing my post. It happens to the best of us! Plus we had to stay up a bit later to watch Game on Thrones...I couldn't have possibly missed that. ;-) Who else is a fan?!
Moving on...
I recently discovered the brand Sosie and I can't tell you how OBSESSED I am with their pieces, like this gorgeous cream pleated halter dress. They have a great selection of summer dresses, tops, etc and all of their pieces are priced so reasonably. The pleated halter that I am wearing is priced right at $50 and it also comes in black.
Something to note about this dress is that it does have a lining that is fitted and not loose. Keep this in mind when you are looking at the sizes. If you are anything like me and have hips, you may need a little extra wiggle room.
Like most dresses that I wear, this one is perfect for a variety of occasions and can be dressed up or dressed down. Take it up a notch for a more formal event with a bold pair of statement earrings, a clutch, and some strappy heels. Add pops of color for a more fun flirty look...think turquoise open toed heels, a bold red clutch, or even a stack of colorful bangles. Or even wear a bold red lip or a bright pink lip! Not to mention, you can easily wear this dress in the Fall as well...think knee high boots and a moto jacket!

Love at first sight does happen. I've experienced it! Let's just say, when I came across this gorgeous pink floral wrap maxi dress, it was definitely LOVE at first sight!
The bold bright pink floral print immediately caught my eye. It's colorful, fun, and flirty. I couldn't help but be drawn to the wrap style as this style is so flattering on so many different body shapes and sizes. Not to mention, this dress is classy with a side of sexy...I can't help but love showing just the right amount of leg action Angelina Jolie or JLo style!
Dressed up or dressed down, this dress is perfect for so many different occasions. Be prepared to be asked, "where did you get your dress"?! This one will definitely be in my bag for our trip to Aruba!

Clothing makes me feel different things and as I have said before, I dress according to how I am feeling on any given day. And let me tell you, this red maxi dress makes me feel strong, powerful, beautiful, and a little feisty! ;-) Red is such a power color and not many people wear it...if you are one of those people, you should give it a try and if you do, let me know how this bold color makes YOU feel!
Some of you may be timid to wear this much red but I say GO FOR IT, OWN IT and don't look back. The style and fit of this dress is sheer perfection and it makes me want to spend warm summer nights salsa dancing the night away. Well, if that daydream doesn't come true, I can tell you that I will be wearing this beauty in Aruba in just a few weeks as well as out on date nights here around Nashville.
Wear it with heels as I've done here or pair this dress with a pair of wedges and a great summer hat for a more dressed down look. Wear it while on vacation, for a special occasion, for date night, for a beach wedding...or wear it anytime just because you love it!

It's wedding season...the bells are ringing and the birds are singing! When I think of weddings, I think back to a time in our lives where my Hubby and I had what seemed to be a wedding to attend every weekend. It was such a fun time in our lives and we enjoyed not only being in many weddings but attending many as well. Being a part of someone's wedding day is so special and we love looking back at the weddings we have been a part of.
Although wedding season for us has passed (we've been in baby season for some time now) we still have friends who will be tying the knot in the near future and we are already looking forward to celebrating with them.
I know many of you may be going through "wedding season" right now and trying to determine what to wear to every wedding that you are attending can be tough. After all, you will probably be seeing many of the same people so you can't wear the same dress/outfit. I'm sure, if you are like me, finding a wedding appropriate dress that is super affordable is just as important.
This gorgeous mesh lace dress is wedding day perfect and at under $60 you just can't go wrong. If not for the wedding, wear it to the rehearsal dinner or even the bridal showers leading up to the wedding. It is super classy, yet sexy, and in my opinion it will stand out from the rest.
Sharing a few tips with you for this dress...I sized up to a large in this one and it fits perfectly. Read the size chart before deciding which size to get. You can always alter something to make it smaller if necessary but you cannot easily do the opposite. Because of the mesh paneling, I am wearing a nude strapless bra and a pair of Spanx. You can certainly wear a regular nude bra but you will see the straps...my vote, go strapless.
I've paired this dress with some nude heels and an AMAZING pair of statement earrings, which are on sale for $25 btw, and a nude bag. Now, for an actual wedding look, I recommend carrying a small clutch instead.
