Technically summer doesn't end until late September and there are plenty of warm days left to come, so I'll continue to share some of my favorite summer pieces!

This Isabella Floral High-Low Dress has been perfect for summer events and travel.  I've worn it so often and I love it just as much each time.

It is high quality, fits beautifully, and the colors are just gorgeous!  Even better, it is currently on sale for under $100.  You all know that I purchase pieces that will be go-to's from year to year and this dress is certainly one of them!

Versatile Fall Dress - Nordstrom

Nordstrom does it again!  I can always find exactly what I am looking for at Nordstrom.  I was on the hunt for a new black dress...one that wasn't a basic black dress and one that was versatile enough to wear for a variety of occasions.  I found it!

This triangle print stretch knit dress immediately caught my eye because of the print and because of the fun collar and cuffs on the sleeve!  I plan to wear this dress for work functions, church, and out at night with my Hubby or with girlfriends.  Pair it with closed toe heels for an even more buttoned up look or create a more edgy look with some funky peep toe booties.  With a black and white blank slate, you can add just about any pop of color to this dress as well!

For today's post, I specifically had a work wear look in mind...this look is office ready.  I paired it with this fun embellished boxy crossbody bag (I mean, how cute is this bag?!) for even more visual interest.  This bag added my pop of color with a subtle blush backdrop and emerald embellishments.

Glowing Skin with Sephora inside JCPenney

Getting that beautiful glow isn't always easy and sometimes we need a little extra help!  My skin has been rather dull lately and a bit dry from the summer heat and I've been wanting to try some new products that would help me achieve beautiful, healthy glowing skin.

I recently teamed up with Sephora inside JCPenney at our Mt. Juliet, TN location to experience a skin makeover and to learn more about how superfoods, like Argan nut, can play a beneficial role in our skincare routines and our overall skin health.

Having access to a Sephora store inside JCPenney is so convenient and their staff is very knowledgeable about the variety of skincare products that they offer.  You can also sit down with a Sephora beauty expert and have them educate you about the various skincare lines that they carry and even give you your own skin makeover!

I met with Katie, Area Education Manager, for Sephora inside JCPenney and we spent a couple of hours together...she taught me more about several Josie Maran products and how they can help improve my skin health and give me a healthy glow.

One of the first products that she used was the Josie Maran Nirvana Hydrating Treatment Mist.  She cleansed my skin and then sprayed the Nirvana mist all over my face.  It's great for most skin types and it is intended to hydrate your skin and set your makeup.  You can also use it throughout the day to refresh your skin!  It was light and felt amazing on my skin!

She then used the Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil, which is great for dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.  It is 100% natural, organic, and antioxidant-rich...a true superfood for your skin.  My skin just soaked the Argan oil in and left it with a beautiful glow.  A little bit goes a long way so you don't need to use much.  It is also great for your hair and nails!  This is by far one of my favorite products that Katie used!

Before applying foundation, Katie applied the Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm.  The balm can be used as a makeup primer and it goes on smoothly, is lightweight, helps set your makeup, and it gives your skin a beautiful radiant glow.

My skin feels clean, hydrated, soft, and it definitely has a gorgeous natural glow!  We finished my look with Josie Maran's Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid.  It gave me a silky smooth flawless finish!  What I love most about this foundation is that it has pure Argan oil in it and it leaves my skin looking radiant with a beautiful healthy glow!

My makeover gave my skin new life...it felt refreshed and I definitely achieved a very healthy glow.  I'm excited to continue using my new Josie Maran products!

Gearing up for Fall with Nordstrom

Someone said to me recently that she would have never paired plaid and camo together but that she LOVED the way it looks!  In my opinion, plaid and camo are two very versatile prints that you can pair with so many things.  

Camo print has become a neutral, similar to cheetah print, even though it is far from neutral and far from basic!  You can wear camo print with solids, stripes, florals, plaid, dots, etc...really, the options are endless!  If you are going to start out wearing something camo print, I recommend a chic structured piece like this camo jacket from Nordstrom.   It is a great layering piece and it instantly elevates your look!  I will be wearing this jacket all Fall long with so many different tops and even over dresses.  I love wearing a structured como jacket over a beautiful flowy Fall floral dress!  For the price, this jacket is an excellent buy...I promise, you will wear it soooooo much!

Plaid is always a print that you see surface every Fall/Winter season.  From plaid tops, to plaid sweaters, skirts, pants, and of course...plaid scarves!!!  Plaid is such a classic print and it too can be paired with so many other prints!  My two personal favorite combinations are plaid with camo and plaid with stripes!  I just loved the traditional plaid print of this ruffle top...the color is rich, the plaid pattern is gorgeous, and the ruffle detail along the shoulders (along with the bell sleeve) easily made this top stand out to me.

And how cute is the jeweled crossbody bag?!  I love the green stones on the soft pink background...so pretty and perfect for everyday wear or dress up for an evening out!

Oversized shirts have become one of my favorite things to wear...not only are they chic but they are super comfortable too!

I've worn this striped Betty Oversized Buttondown all summer long and plan to wear it into Fall too with these tie waist cargo pants!  You can wear this shirt tied up like I've done here or wear it loose...either way, you will have an effortless look.  And how pretty is the floral cutout detail on each shoulder?!  One of my favorite details of this top!

Blackout for the Solar Eclipse

Today is the solar eclipse and we will have totality here in Nashville!  There is a lot of buzz and sooooo many people have traveled in to watch this incredible event.  I'm actually pretty excited for it and so are our kiddos.  Pretty cool that this is happening in our home town!

So in honor of the solar eclipse, I'm wearing a full blackout look!  I must admit that this dress was supposed to be worn as a one shoulder dress but I pulled it down and wore it as an off the shoulder dress.  So I guess you can say it is versatile and can be worn two ways, haha!  Next time I will wear it as a one shoulder dress!

I love that you can wear this into fall with peep toe booties or even over the knee boots!  It's perfect for those cool Fall days that don't require too many layers and it would also make a great evening out or date night dress!

Who else is going to be watching the solar eclipse today?!  We've got our glasses and we are ready to go!

Mapping It Out in Voyage Swimwear

This suit from Voyage Swimwear has to be the most unique bathing suit I have ever worn and to be honest, it gives me major wanderlust!  The world map print definitely has me thinking about our next adventure and all of the places we hope to travel one day.

We are talking about going to Southern Italy next year and traveling the coast line, which I've never done.  I've actually never traveled to Europe so as you can imagine, that is on my bucket list...many places within Europe are on my list.  

I love learning about new places and their culture too so planning a trip and studying up before we go is something I really enjoy doing!
