Blackout for the Solar Eclipse

Today is the solar eclipse and we will have totality here in Nashville!  There is a lot of buzz and sooooo many people have traveled in to watch this incredible event.  I'm actually pretty excited for it and so are our kiddos.  Pretty cool that this is happening in our home town!

So in honor of the solar eclipse, I'm wearing a full blackout look!  I must admit that this dress was supposed to be worn as a one shoulder dress but I pulled it down and wore it as an off the shoulder dress.  So I guess you can say it is versatile and can be worn two ways, haha!  Next time I will wear it as a one shoulder dress!

I love that you can wear this into fall with peep toe booties or even over the knee boots!  It's perfect for those cool Fall days that don't require too many layers and it would also make a great evening out or date night dress!

Who else is going to be watching the solar eclipse today?!  We've got our glasses and we are ready to go!

Flouncy Floral Ruffle Dress

There is just so much about this dress that makes it special and that makes it one of my favorite Spring dresses.  From the color combo, to the pleats and ruffle detail, to the drop waist, and then of course the ribbon detail.  This dress is a classic piece that I will wear year to year, spring season to spring season.

I've paired it with some go-to nude heels and this gorgeous Henri Bendel bag.  This dress may just end up being my Easter dress too!

Caribean Coral High-Low Ruffle Halter Dress

Let's face it, it's still July and no matter how much we all want to start thinking about cooler temps, we still have PLENTY of summer days left.  There is nothing better than bright vibrant pieces during the hot summer months and this gorgeous Caribbean Coral High-Low Ruffle Halter Dress from Kohl's is the perfect summer maxi!

What's not to love about this gorgeous dress...the color, the high-low hemline, the halter neckline, the RUFFLES!!!  Did I say the ruffles?! ;-)  OH...AND this dress is currently on sale for ONLY $35.  Such a steal for an amazing dress!!!

This dress is so feminine and beautiful...perfect for a summer wedding, date night, girls night, brunch...the occasion wearing list could go on and on.

For a size reference, I am wearing a size small.  There is plenty of room throughout the bodice of the dress but if you are large chested, you may want to consider sizing up as it can run a little snug under the arms and around the neckline. Overall, the small was the right fit for me.  Let me know if you have any questions.
