Good morning! We had such a great week at the beach with family and now we are back home and settled into our normal routines. There's nothing better than sleeping in your own bed!
Many of you who follow along know that I have been sharing bits and pieces of my selects from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale since last Thursday and now that I am home, I was able to try on some of my selects and snap some full body iPhone shots to give you a better idea of what the pieces look like on.
All of my selections this year are versatile, interchangeable, and are great closet staples. As you can see from these images, each piece can create a different look just by adding or taking away a piece or by switching out your denim, etc. I also ended up ordering this set of 11 bangles because they are gorgeous and are on sale for only $29!
One of my favorite purchases this year is the floral embroidered faux leather jacket...it is STUNNING and the perfect mix of feminine yet edgy. At $111, it is worth every penny! I'm wearing a size small, which is perfect for wearing over thinner fabrics. To show it layered, I put it over this olive green and black floral button down dress (also another favorite)...I'm wearing a size small in the dress!
I also love these girlfriend jeans...they are super flattering and the distressed detail at the hemline is my favorite. I was able to size down in these jeans...something to keep in mind!
Also, the yellow top has a split back so you will want to wear a tank or bralette underneath this Fall. The olive green sweater cardigan also has a lace up detail in the back, which adds such a fun twist to a not so basic cardigan.
I'm wearing a size medium in the faux leather shorts...I will add tights underneath as the weather cools off. They have a button waist and an elastic waistband in the back...they are meant to fit a bit more "high rise". I love something other than jeans for Fall and that is why I picked these shorts.
All other pieces I was able to wear my normal size!

New Fall items are marked down 40-60% off and now is the time to stock up on Fall must haves and favorites. I've rounded up all of my first impression picks and I'm sharing what I've bought as well. There are sooooo many great pieces...I personally stocked up on tops, sweaters, jeans, and boots!

YAY!!! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to ALL to shop, whoop whoop! I know so many of you have been waiting patiently to shop the sale. And don't worry, there are MANY great pieces left and I've rounded up 10 must have pieces for Fall that are all under $100...even better, many of the pieces are under $50.

Now let's talk about these amazing pieces...
BUFFALO CHECK HOODED CAPE: This piece is right under $100, which I think is a total steal! Buffalo check has become a classic wardrobe staple and capes will be popular yet again this fall season. I love this cape styled with jeans but I also love it styled with faux leather leggings and booties! I'll be wearing this on cool Fall nights and for weekend family outings!
CHELSEA DESTROYED SKINNY JEANS: For under $50 you can't go wrong with this awesome pair of denim. These will sell out fast so grab them while you can! They fit TTS!
DRAPE TRENCH COAT: $66 - the perfect transitional piece to keep you warm during the cooler Fall months. I LOVE this trench because it is more relaxed and less structured, which makes it the perfect layering piece. It is also a lighter material so you can wear it to complete your look...no need to take it off as you would another coat! Runs TTS!
PEASANT TOP: $38 and perfect for styling with a pair of dark skinny jeans and open toe booties! I also love this top paired with an a-line above the knee suede or denim skirt!
PLAID BUTTON DOWN TOP: $29 - It's almost always understood that every gal needs a great plaid shirt in her wardrobe and let's be honest, probably 2 or 3! Love this B&W shirt...perfect for that easy casual weekend attire and seriously, the price just can't be beat!
BELL SLEEVE SHIFT DRESS: $32 - I adore this dress, especially in the olive floral print, and I can't wait to wear it this Fall with booties, maybe even my new over the knee boots, and a moto jacket. If you are a bit taller, you can wear this over top of a great pair of leggings or skinny jeans...if tights are your thing, throw on a pair of tights. I will accessorize this dress with a floppy hat as well! It comes in multiple colors too!
WRAP FRONT TOP: $59 - This top is like a tunic top, however I love it even more because of the asymmetrical front. It adds such beautiful visual interest to this top. It is longer in the back to feel more like a tunic. Everyone should have basic chic tunic tops in their wardrobe and you can never go wrong with a white one...super versatile!
OPEN FRONT CARDI: $32 - This cardi is perfection and it a great wardrobe staple...a piece that you will get so much wear out of. It comes in 4 other colors as well so at $32, you can buy more than one color! I will be living in this cardi during the Fall season!
BELTED SHORT SLEEVE TOP - $50 - Such a beautiful feminine top that can be worn alone with jeans or paired with a great cardi like the one above or with a moto jacket. Wear this top to work and then out to dinner with friends. Dress it up with a pair of faux leather leggings! Again, a beautiful classic piece that you will have in your wardrobe for a long time!
ANKLE BOYFRIEND SKINNY JEANS: $66 - These are my absolute FAV new jeans! The frayed ankle cuff is on trend and I love a great pair of boyfriend jeans that are actually figure flattering and these are. The fit is amazing! These are a great year round pair of denim and I can assure you that I will be wearing these often starting now! They run TTS, I bought a size 27.

There is just something about a great bag at an even greater price...am I right?! Of course I love a beautiful luxury bag but I also LOVE gorgeous bags that don't cost a fortune. I switch out my handbags often so I like having a variety...bags that I can take anywhere and not worry about "messing" up.
Nordstrom knows me, and those of you who are like me, very well. Beautiful every day bags for a fraction of the cost!
Last year, during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I purchased two faux leather bags...this bucket bag in black and this tote bag in cognac and they have brought them back again this year! For the price, the quality of both bags is AMAZING...they are really nice and they look much more expensive than they are. At $32 each, you just can't go wrong. I've loved them both so much that I've ordered each in another color!
I've rounded up my other top SUPER AFFORDABLE handbag picks for you as well! Most are under $40...you read that right, under $40! Shop for yourself or shop for someone else...at these prices, you can even start checking people off of your holiday shopping list. Yes, I'm saying it...Christmas in July!

1) Faux Leather Tassel Bucket Bag - $32 - comes in 2 colors. I bought this last year during the anniversary sale and have LOVED it. I purchased it in black and this year in cognac. The quality is excellent and you can wear this bag on your shoulder or as a cross body bag. This is one of those bags that looks much more expensive than it is.
2) Faux Leather Tote Bag - $32 - comes in 3 colors. This is the other bag that I purchased last year during the anniversary sale and I purchased in in cognac. This year, I purchased it in blue! This bag is the perfect carry all and in my opinion, you can never have too many tote bags. Yet again, the quality is excellent and this one also looks more expensive than it is.
3) Faux Leather Backpack - $32 - comes in 2 colors. I have this thing for backpacks right now! As a busy Mom of two, having a chic backpack has become a necessity. Grocery shopping, running errands, trips to the zoo, etc are all so much easier when I am handsfree. I love the look of this backpack...it's chic and simple and will go with everything!
4) Structured Dome Satchel - $40 - comes in 3 colors. This structured bag is just gorgeous (the inside lining of the bag is an adorable cheetah print) and I love it in grey (also comes in black & red). This is a great every day bag...take it straight from the office to dinner out with friends!
5) Leather Crossbody Bag - $45 - comes in 4 colors. What I love most about this bag is that it is a great day to night bag. If you like carrying something a bit smaller, this is the perfect option. You can wear it as a shoulder bag or as a crossbody bag. The chain strap gives it a chic modern touch and the lines are clean and classic. It comes in the most gorgeous "pink pearl" color too! Go with the snakeskin print for a bit more edge!

I've experienced it first hand and I can tell you all that there are so many AMAZING pieces this year but things are selling out quickly. It's a grab it before it sells out scenario for many pieces. If you haven't read my "First Impressions" post, you can read it HERE...I've included some tips to help you navigate this sale.

Today I'm sharing some more of my favorite picks for Fall as well as my top shoe & coat picks! Let's start with SHOES!!!
There are so many amazing AFFORDABLE shoes to pick from but I've narrowed the selection down to 6 styles! I've never owned a pair of over-the-knee boots and I finally do, YAY! I am completely obsessed with these Vince Camuto OTK boots...they are so comfy and well made! Also, they don't make you feel like you are walking on your toes...it actually feels like you are wearing a flat boot although there is a heel on these. They are really a STEAL right now!
GREAT BUY - these Halogen Pointy Toe Lace Up Flats...they are super cute on and they come in 7 colors. At $60, you could buy more than one color!
Next up, some more of my favorite fall picks!
This High Slit Midi Dress is one of my favorite new pieces! It is perfect to wear now, to wear in the Fall with booties and a moto jacket & then wear when it gets more cold with an oversized sweater and tall boots! And even better...it's ONLY $52!!! I bought this dress and can't wait to start wearing it. For a size reference I am wearing a size small and I'd say it runs true to size.
AND...I can't get over this Vince Camuto "Abril" bag...it's sooooo gorgeous and it will literally go with EVERYTHING!
Now is the time to also take advantage of the sale and buy yourself a fall/winter coat! There are many beautiful options but I've narrowed it down based on style and well, my personal favorites too!
You can never go wrong with an AMAZING leather jacket and this Trouve leather jacket is definitely a bargain buy! You will more than get your money back for this one because you will get so much wear out of it. And this pale pink double breasted coat is just stunning and so classy! Not to mention, it is on sale for $140...SCORE!!! All of these coats are affordable and almost all of them are under $200 and some are even under $100!!!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is HERE!!! This sale is by far one of THE BEST sale events around. Nordstrom showcases so many gorgeous Fall pieces that are marked down for a fraction of the retail price...think up to 40% off! I know we are in the dead heat of summer but NOW is the time to think about Fall and take full advantage of the many amazing pieces and even more AMAZING prices that are offered during this sale!
If you are a Nordstrom regular, you know how this all works...no need for me to explain! If you aren't a Nordstrom regular, I will highlight a few tips to help you navigate this sale and get the most out of it. Let's talk a bit about the sale...
1) First things first...dates to keep me in mind! Starting today 7/14/16, until 7/21/16, those who have signed up for either the Nordstrom Credit or Nordstrom Debit card have full access to shop the sale early...hence all of the hubbub you have been hearing about "early access". And if you don't currently have either card, you can still sign up, receive your card number and shop the sale NOW...something to think about because many pieces sell out so quickly! Shopping will open to the public on 7/22/16 (but keep in mind, many of the best sale items may be gone)!
2) If you follow me on Instagram and would like to receive details on the sale items and/or pieces I am wearing, please make sure you are signed up for LikeToKnow.it! Now let's talk a bit about my "first impression" picks which are pieces that I just LOVE!
BLANK NYC FAUX LEATHER JACKET - under $65 and absolutely AMAZING! I have been looking for the perfect brown leather jacket and this is it! It looks and feels like real leather and the fit is amazing. Size up on this one...I bought a size medium and it will be the perfect fit over a basic tee or even over a light sweater.
TROUVE LAYERING TEE - $33 this tee is super soft and makes for the perfect layering piece. I bought this because it is perfect under the BLANK NYC jacket and it will also be perfect under the TOPSHOP sweater. You an never have too many essential tees. It fits snuggly so you may consider sizing up if you don't want your tee to be too tight!
TREASURE & BOND ANKLE BOYFRIEND SKINNY JEAN - under $66! I'm obsessed with these! Two things that are trending...ankle length jeans and fringe/distressed detail around the ankle. These jeans fit light a dream too and make my bum look amazing if I do say so myself. For the price, this pair of denim is a HUGE WINNER in my book! For a size reference, I bought a size 27!
TOM'S MAJORCA PEEP TOE BOOTIE - under $80! Peep toe booties are the perfect shoe to transition you from summer into fall. They can be worn with denim, dresses, skirts, etc and a gorgeous neutral grey bootie literally goes with everything. At under $80, these are a great add to your bootie collection!!!
TOPSHOP PATCHWORK OVERSIZE OPEN CARDIGAN - $55 and in love! Talk about BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. This oversize cardi is the poster child of comfy live in sweaters. It is beyond soft, not itchy at all, and it has pockets! I know I will be living in this sweater this Fall/Winter season. And seriously, for $55, you cannot go wrong! I bought a size 2!
HALOGEN SHELBI ALMOND TOE WEDGE - $85...I have these booties in my cart and will most likely get them! I love the color and the wedge style...again, another perfect addition to your shoe collection for such an amazing price!
VINCE CAMUTO MELAYA OVER THE KNEE BOOT - $160...marked down from $240! Okay, I haven't pulled the trigger on these boots yet...again, I had a budget for my first round, but they are in my cart and I'm smitten with these. Believe it or not, I don't own a pair of over the knee boots and I've always wanted a pair. What I LOVE about these first off is the color...I will be wearing a lot of cognac and different shades of brown this fall season and I also love that they have a heel! So many over the knee boots are flat and I need a few extra inches!
