Blush Bell Sleeve Sweater

Photography by Madi Flournoy Henderson

Bell sleeves are in and they are here to stay.  What I love most about this soft blush sweater is the subtle bell sleeve.  I also love that it is chunky, a bit oversized, and has a turtleneck.  Our winter months have officially kicked off in Nashville so sweaters and jeans is what I will be living in over the next few months.  In my opinion, the more cozy the better and this sweater gets an A+ for all of those reasons.

You may have noticed that I've been wearing this particular black pair of distressed jeans rather often and that's because I LOVE them.  They are super stretchy and very flattering.  They are more of a washed black versus a rich black, which gives them a more "worn in" appearance.

Are you living in sweaters and jeans this time of year too?

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Black Velvet Lace Top - TART Collections

Photography by Madi Flournoy Henderson

Happy New Year!  Cheers to a wonderful year ahead and I wish you all a year full of love, health, happiness and whatever your heart may desire!  Peter and I were talking about new year's resolutions last night and when he asked me to share some of mine, I simply said, "to use less paper towels".  Ha!  I was kind of kidding but not really...I REALLY need to use less because we are constantly going through our paper towel rolls.

Using less paper towels is one of MANY resolutions that come to mind but in reality, I don't usually "formally" make a resolution.  At least those that I state out loud and share with the world...I'm not a new year, new me person.  There are a lot of things I aspire to do, to be better at, to create, to see etc, etc...the list could go on for miles.  At the end of the day, it comes down to being the best "ME" that I can possible be and well (using less paper towels ;-)).

From a style perspective, I aspire to take a more minimalist approach this year.  I love the way minimalism looks & feels...kind of a less is more mentality.  We will see how that goes.

So I'm kicking off this year with a simple black on black look.  This beautiful black velvet lace top from Tart Collections is so stunning that it doesn't need anything more than to be paired with a relaxed pair of distressed black denim, a gorgeous pair of red patent leather heels, and a classic black on black watch.  I absolutely adore Tart Collections beautiful pieces...they are simple, versatile, and minimal while still making a statement.

What are some of your resolutions (if you want to share) and what do you think about minimal looks?!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by and I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

Serenity is the Pantone color of the year and bell sleeves are trending.  Put the two together and you have the most perfect "bell sleeve top" from CS Gems!

I adore the loose, somewhat oversized, fit of this top and the color is soooooo dreamy.  Not to mention I am rather obsessed with bell sleeves right now.  Aren't you?!  This top is also super comfortable and flattering no matter your shape or size!  Pair it with a great pair of denim, give it a little front tuck (or wear it untucked and loose), add some accessories, and you have a simple yet chic look!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by...have a great day!
