Hi everyone!  Where did the weekend go?!  As quickly as the weekend begins, it also ends, and we are starting yet another week.  If the weekend has to be over at least this gorgeous weather moves right into the week with me…the temps will be in the 70's today and it definitely feels like Spring is in the air.  The grass is turning a slight shade of green, some of the trees are showing signs of blooming, and of course the sun isn't setting until close to 7pm!  Although Spring is on it's way, I am still wearing plenty of sweaters, jeans, light jackets, and booties.  It's not quite time to break out the full Spring wardrobe yet, although I must say I am starting to get a little anxious!

Even though I may not be wearing a lot of bright colors just yet, my accessories are definitely brightening up to help me transition into Spring.  This "Shelley" necklace has become one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE pieces in my jewelry collection…isn't it GORGEOUS?!  The bright colors, various bead sizes, textures, & shapes makes this piece a true statement stunner and it really just makes me HAPPY when I wear it!  It is such a stand out on its on and you really don't need to wear anything else with it…but, I have paired it with two gorgeous beaded bracelets as well.  These "Hawaiian" beaded bracelets are part of my collection for Applee Jewelry and I love how they compliment my "Shelley" necklace.

Hi everyone!  It's Wednesday and we are half way through the week, yay!  Come Wednesday, I am always so ready for the weekend and it feels so great to make it past the work week hump.  Whose already making weekend plans?!  ME!!!

Today I am sharing a look that incorporates some oldies and some newbies!  I rework my closet often and many times I am pulling out pieces that I have had for years, like this leather jacket from Express.  The camel color of this jacket is so rich and it truly goes with everything…not to mention the overall fit and style of the jacket has made it through the years without looking outdated (although at times, this look had me feeling like I was walking straight out of the late 70's early 80's, ha…we had a blast shooting on the "East Side" of Nashville!)  It's always a good idea to invest in a simple classic leather jacket without many bells and whistles so you can wear it from year to year, season to season.

I've also pulled in some Spring colors with this light mint top and this "By the Sea" necklace, which just so happens to be part of my Spring collection for Applee Jewelry.  Have you checked out my collection yet?!  Which piece is your favorite?!

Lace is such a feminine fabric and I love the delicate yet bold floral pattern of this maxi skirt.  Lace can easily seem too dressy for some but with the right pairings, you can achieve a more dressed down casual look.  I've paired this maxi with a chambray top, a light jacket, and some booties for a much more casual feel.  And of course, since it is still cold out, I am wearing thick tights underneath to provide full coverage (well and to keep warm too).  As the weather warms, and layers won't play a factor in how I dress, I will wear this skirt with a short slip underneath, an easy breezy tank, and either sandals or heels depending on the occasion.

Sunday's are meant for relaxing and that is exactly what I am doing today!  As a busy Mom of two, mornings where I can just sit, relax, and catch up on all of my neglected magazines are so hard to come by.  So when I do actually have a morning like this, I want to be able to relax in something that is cute, functional, and SUPER COMFORTABLE.  Let's be honest, staying in my fuzzy oversized robe sounds appealing as well but it quickly becomes less appealing when there is a really good chance that a neighbor may stop by at any moment or one of our children will have a friend stop by to play.  I've been caught hanging in my robe many times (nothing worse than the door bell ringing and having to hide behind the door) but I have finally swapped out my oversized fuzzy robe for this comfortable oversized cute tee!

My new Southern Shirt has quickly become my favorite go-to tee!  So much so that my Hubby teases me that I NEVER TAKE IT OFF (it's a fact).  The "Kimmy" is oversized and pairs perfectly with a pair of leggings (this tee covers me in all the right places), which I love, and it is so incredibly soft…hence, why I have recently been living in it.

It may be time to hang up that fuzzy robe, those oversized men's white tees, or those shabby t-shirts that  are FINALLY worn in (you know which tees I'm talking about) for what I consider to be the most comfortable tee out there!  Here's to hoping your Sunday is as relaxing as I plan for mine to be and as always, thanks for stopping by!

We are almost one week into March and there are still no real signs of Spring just yet!  In fact, just yesterday we received several inches of fresh new snow here in Nashville and it is still soooo cold!  BUT…come Saturday, the sun will be out, the temps will rise (hopefully melting all of this snow) and then the time changes on Sunday (which I am beyond excited for)…Spring is slowly on its way, YAY!

Transitioning into Spring can be tricky, especially when it is still too cold to go without some sort of layers.  For this look, I have put together a lighter long sleeve tee, a puff vest in the place of a jacket, a light weight flowy scarf, easy skinny jeans, and booties of course.  I've also pulled in some nautical inspired accessories from Shop Suey Boutique that help achieve a lighter, yet still warm, Spring inspired look.  Dreaming of beaches for sure!

March is truly still considered a "Winter" month and although we are ALL craving Spring right now, you can still style smart Spring inspired looks without sacrificing warmth and without jumping ahead too soon to the next season!
