Caprese Has My Heart - Valentine's Day Appetizer

PERFECT VALENTINE'S DAY RED DRESS

Planning to spend Valentine's Day celebrating at home with your significant other, family, or maybe planning a Galentine's Day brunch/dinner?!  If so, I'm sharing the most delicious and very simple Heart Caprese Salad recipe with you! 

Caprese salad is a crowd pleaser (one of my family's favorites) and is very easy to make!  It doesn't take much time to put together, which gives you more time to focus on your main dish or maybe a fun dessert!

HEART CAPRESE SALAD

- pre-packaged mozzarella cheese - whole or pre-sliced *I bought pre-sliced and the cheese was cut into about 1/2 inch round slices

- basil leaves

- ripe sweet tomatoes

- light olive oil

-balsamic glaze

- salt & pepper to taste

- small heart cookie cutter *I purchased mine from Michael's

Use your heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out your mozzarella hearts.  Cut your tomatoes into thick slices.  Lay down your tomato slices onto your serving tray, place a whole basil leaf on top and then place your heart mozzarella on top.  Drizzle with a little bit of light olive oil and then drizzle with balsamic glaze.  Sprinkle with pinch of salt & pepper.  Voila...enjoy!!!

There are so many gift giving occasions right around the corner, starting with Valentine's Day, and what better way to surprise someone than with a beautiful piece of jewelry.  Fellas, listen up about Valentine's Day and ladies, it may be time to drop some hints in your man's mailbox!  

Anjolee has a beautiful selection of pieces that make perfect gifts for all of those special occasions.  Ladies, I don't know about you but I always love receiving a new piece of jewelry like this gorgeous ruby (my birthstone) & diamond ring.  Often times I wear costume jewelry but I love pulling out my "fine jewelry" to wear as often as possible too!

Besides this gorgeous ring, I especially love their gemstone bracelets!  Personally, I would love to design one of their gemstone bracelets to include my birthstone (ruby) along with those of my children too.

And I must admit, I already have my eyes on some of their wedding bands as Peter and I will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary this year and we are talking about potentially renewing our vows!  Believe me, I've already been dropping hints in his mailbox about another diamond band and I will point him in Anjolee's direction!
