Going Colorful & Bold with New York & Company

I'm always drawn to bright bold colors this time of year so when I saw this gorgeous rainbow colored striped pleated maxi dress on New York & Company's website, I knew I had to have it!  The colors immediately drew me in and I love the striped pleats and the high neckline too.

This dress is perfect for many different occasions...think weddings, nights out, vacation, or even a casual day time outing with a great sandal and boaters hat!  You will be grabbing for this dress time and time again.  You can have so much fun accessorizing this dress as well...I chose these bold striped statement earrings and this rainbow colored handbag to complete my look!

Speaking of color, I also wanted to share a few additional New York & Company bright, bold, and colorful pieces that I'm loving right now!  

Striped V-Neck Wrap Maxi Dress - how fun and colorful is this dress?!  I love the wrap style, flattering on most figures, and the v-neck neckline as well.  Not to mention, the vertical stripe is a great way to elongate your natural shape and make you look taller!

Pleated Halter Maxi Dress - I just ordered this dress in purple and it comes in a gorgeous "tea berry" stripe too!  Again, bold and colorful...this dress is a stand out!

Rainbow Striped Maxi Skirt - Everyone woman needs at least one amazing maxi skirt in their closet. If you love color as I do, then you will definitely love the bright bold colorful maxi skirt.  The vertical stripe elongates your look as well...major win in my book!  You can dress this skirt up or down making it such a versatile piece for your wardrobe.

Striped Wrap Blouse - From the colorful stripe to the bell sleeve, I love this striped blouse!  I would wear this with distressed denim shorts and a great pair of wedge sandals for a perfect summer look!

New York & Company Spring Favorites

If you are a regular reader of KBStyled, you know how much I love New York & Company!  I've shopped from New York & Company for years and I can always find such great pieces at even better prices!  This spring season I have shared some of my favorites from the Eva Mendes and Gabrielle Union spring collections and today, I'm excited to share some of my other favorite pieces from New York & Company!

I'm constantly browsing New York & Company's website and most recently I have been drawn in by all of the color and fun vibrant prints!  There are so many pieces that have stood out to me and I end up finding that my cart is almost always full!

Here are just a few of the pieces that I am loving right now, many of which I have purchased already or are sitting in my cart just waiting to be purchased!

Gabrielle Union Collection Colorblock Wrap Dress:  If you watch my Instastories, you will have seen me in this dress just yesterday!  I love the vibrant colors and I also love that this is a wrap dress. Wrap dresses are flattering on almost all body types.  This dress is very flattering on and it's perfect for a night out on the town!

Pleated Striped Halter Maxi Dress:  It's hard not to be drawn to this dress...the gorgeous vibrant colors immediately catches your eye and the maxi silhouette makes for an easy going fit that is not only comfortable but very flattering.  This dress can be worn for so many different occasions.  Have fun with this one...you can never wear too much color (big fan of color here!).

Black Tassel Accent Shift Dress:  This dress will be the life of the party...whether an office party or a birthday party you will have so much fun wearing this dress.  The form fitted style hugs your body to accentuate you in all of the right places and the layers of tassels break up a classic dress and add a major dose of fun!

Rainbow Stripe Maxi Skirt:  Everyone woman needs at least one amazing maxi skirt in their closet. If you love color as I do, then you will definitely love the bright bold colorful maxi skirt.  The vertical stripe elongates your look as well...major win in my book!  You can dress this skirt up or down making it such a versatile piece for your wardrobe.  If you prefer pants...check out these stripe crop palazzo pants!

Stripe Ruffle V-Neck Wrap Dress:  Can you tell I have a thing for stripes?!  They are just so classic!  There is so much to love about this dress...the wrap silhouette (again, so figure flattering for most), the black and white classic stripe, and the ruffle detail!  This will be a great addition to your closet and can also be dressed up or dressed down a bit.

White Eyelet Maxi Dress:  If you love a great white dress for spring & summer, this white eyelet maxi dress is the perfect dress.  I love the off the shoulder style and the eyelet detail is absolutely gorgeous!

Floral Tie-Front Romper:  Okay...you know I couldn't mention my favorites without having at least one floral piece in my list.  I love the bold red backdrop of this floral romper and the floral/paisley print is subtle yet noticeable!  I also love a great romper and this one gets 5 stars!

Stripe Ruffle Maxi Skirt:  I am absolutely smitten with this stripe ruffle maxi skirt!  I recently saw this on their site and had to have it.  The color and stripe are just perfect and the ruffles add such a beautiful feminine touch.  Similar to wrap dresses, wrap skirts are also flattering on most!  Even better, this skirt is on sale and in my opinion, a must have!  Pair it with this adorable white cold shoulder blouse!

Green Floral Strapless Sheath Dress:  You say floral, strapless, and sheath in the same sentence and my reply is...I'll take it!  This figure hugging sheath dress creates a very feminine and beautiful silhouette.  The bold floral print on a gorgeous green backdrop make this dress a total knockout!  Have some weddings or showers to attend this summer?  This dress is perfect for those occasions and so many more!

Gabrielle Union Collection Stripe Paperbag-waist short: I wore these shorts yesterday in my Instastories and so many of you had questions about them.  Paperbag-waist shorts are trending this season so I was happy to have had such a good experience with my very first pair.  They fit very well and aren't super short either!  Wear these to the soccer fields on the weekends and then out at night with some heels for a girls night out look!

Eva Mendes for New York & Company Spring Collection

CROCHET CROP SWEATER || FLORAL PALAZZO PANTS || SHOES || HANDBAG || WATCH || EARRINGS

The new Eva Mendes spring collection from New York & Company is gorgeous!  The collection is full of Whales green, crisp white, & purple grandeur.  There are stunning florals, classic solids, and figure flattering silhouettes!

These floral palazzo pants immediately caught my eye.  The color combination is a statement maker and the floral print is so fun!  Besides the colors and print, I absolutely love the fit of these pants.  They are high waisted and they elongate your legs, which is a plus in my style book!

This Whales green crochet sweater is the perfect compliment to these pants.  It  is more of a crop fit so it pairs nicely with these high waisted pants.  It's so soft and has the most gorgeous crochet detail along the neckline.

Wear this look to work or mix up the pieces and pair them with more casual pieces for the weekend.  You can wear this crochet sweater with distressed denim or white jeans for an easy weekend look and I'll personally be wearing these palazzo pants with a slouchy v-neck white tee on the weekends as well.  Have fun and get creative!

I've pulled out some of the black in the pants with a black and white striped statement earring and a black and white striped shoe.  My handbag is the perfect summer neutral as well!

From the new Eva Mendes spring collection, I also love this Emme sheath dress, this Alexis gaucho jumpsuit, and these Morgan wide leg pants!  And how fun are these floral tassel drop earrings?!

Gabrielle Union Spring Collection for New York and Company

There's just something about a striped dress that makes me daydream about being on vacation with my family!  Stripes are always so classic and to me, they always feel a bit nautical as well.  Soon enough we will be at the beach and I can assure you this navy and white striped dress will be in my suitcase!

This gorgeous striped dress is just one of many FAB dresses from the new Gabrielle Union for New York and Company spring collection.  I saw Gabrielle where this dress on the today show with Kathie Lee and Hoda and she looked so stunning and classy in it...I knew I had to order one for myself!

Her spring collection features classic pieces that can be dressed up and dressed down.  What I love about her spring collection is that the silhouettes, colors, and overall designs are timeless and  you will be able to wear these pieces from spring season to spring season...year after year!

As you can see, I paired this Striped Kimono Dress with a red mule and I plan to pair it with a variety of colors to change up my look a bit.  The options are endless with this gorgeous dress.  You can truly dress it up as much as you would like or dress it down.  To dress it down a bit, I would pair it with a pair of flat sandals and a boater's hat.  Dress it up even more with high heels and bold statement jewelry for an evening out!

This Maxi Shirtdress is also one of my favorite from the collection.  It comes in both white and green and I personally love it in white.  A long white shirtdress is not only timeless and classic but it is also the most perfect blank slate for pops of color with your shoes/accessories.   Again, the options to dress this up or down and to add a variety of pops of color are endless!

And how fun (and gorgeous) is this Reversible Kimono?!  I love it paired with this Coral Halter Jumpsuit!  These two pieces compliment each other so well.  You can wear the two for work or wear them separately...the simon with denim and a tank and the halter jumpsuit on its own!

I love the change of seasons and when welcoming spring, I always move in the direction of brighter colors!  What can I say, color makes me happy!  With more sunlight each day and warmer temps as well, my wardrobe shifts and I start wearing more dresses too!  

For those of you who know me well and who have been following along for a while, you know how much I love and LIVE in dresses from spring through the end of summer.  I'm a dress girl...I love how versatile a dress is especially when it can be worn for both day and night!

I've always shopped at New York & Company and have found some of my absolute favorite dresses there!  Ever since Eva Mendes launched her brand with New York & Company I have been a big fan of her beautiful collections and have loved the quality and fit of her dresses.

Eva Mendes launched her spring collection and I'm smitten with the bright happy colors, bold prints, maxi styles, and simple figure flattering silhouettes.  

This bold bright colorblock maxi dress immediately caught my eye!  Not just for the happy colors but for the light airy silhouette too!  I knew immediately this would be a dress that I could wear for so many different occasions...one that's perfect with wedges for daytime wear and with heels for a night out or evening event.  Not to mention, it is the most PERFECT vacation dress too!

This dress is so gorgeous and truly looks amazing on!  I'm wearing a size small, which fit perfectly!  Can't you just see yourself wearing this dress on your next vacation or to a spring soiree?!

Dear Mom,

Although I will not be with you on Mother's Day, I want you to know that you are thought of every day and that you are always in my heart.  I'm so lucky to have have been raised by such an incredible woman.  Mom, you've taught me so much over the years...lessons that I cherish and that I now teach my children.

You taught me that beauty comes from within...that it's not what the outside looks like but that it is the soul from within that truly defines the meaning of beauty.

You taught me to stay strong in my faith.  Your faith filled foundation has deep roots and you passed that along to me.  Thank you.

You always reminded me of the "golden rule"...do unto others as you would have them do unto you.  This is such an important lesson that I'm passing on to Reins and Addison.

You taught me the importance of gratitude...you stressed the importance of always saying two simple words, "Thank you" and even though at the time, I may have put up a fuss about writing all of those thank you notes over the years, I'm so thankful that you taught me this lesson.

You taught me to stand up for what I believe in and to never let anyone diminish my self worth.  Confidence and self esteem is so hard to teach but you taught me so well.

You taught me to be respectful and to always use my manners.  "Yes ma'am", "no ma'am", "yes sir", "no sir", "please", "thank you"...these simple words have such an impact and I've taught our children to use them as well.

You taught me the importance of humility.  No matter the blessings or challenges I've experienced over the years, you always reminded me to stay grounded and humble.

You showed me how to love deeply...even though at times there were many ups and downs, your love for me always remained unconditional and it never wavered.

You taught me the importance of always being my best self...always being polished and put together.

Most importantly, you've taught me how to the best woman that I can be and how to be the best Mother to Reins and Addison.  The many lessons that you have taught me over the years are all lessons that I now teach your grandchildren.  You continue to guide me along the way and I'm so lucky to be able to lean on you Mom as I navigate this beautiful journey called Motherhood!

Although I won't be seeing my Mom on Mother's Day, I will be celebrating with my little family.  Peter always plans something special and makes Mother's Day very memorable.  It's hard to believe that this will be my 7th Mother's Day!

When picking out this Mother's Day look from New York & Company, I was thinking about my Mom and what she would have picked out for me.  My Mom always loved dressing me from an early age...most times she would prefer buying a new outfit for me before buying one for herself.  There were many occasions where I would come home after school or after a weekend away and she would have a brand new outfit, accessories included, laying on my bed.  As much as my Mom instilled the lesson that beauty comes from within, she also created my love for beautiful clothes.

My Mom had an "eye" for things...she would pick something out when we would shop together, I would turn my nose up at it, she would insist that I try it on, and then of course I would end up loving it.  As much as I wanted to be trendy and pick things that may have been a little too revealing at times, my Mom always reminded me the importance of dressing in a classy way.  Of course she allowed me to experiment some and express my own personal style but she had a lot of influence on the way I dressed, which still impacts my style today as a grown woman.

So Mom, my Mother's Day outfit was picked with you in mind.  This beautiful Eva Mendes Del Mar Dress is a classic figure flattering dress that can be worn dressed up or dressed down.  The thicker material and the pleats at the waistline make this a perfect fit and flare style.  The strapless neckline is perfect for those warm summer evenings too.  And can we talked about the pockets?!  Any dress with pockets is fine by me!

I've completed my look with these fun color block t-strap heels, these gorgeous tassel earrings, and this bold floral statement bangle.

It's Good Friday and I'm busy prepping for Easter Sunday!  Easter Sunday is not only special to my family because of our faith but it is also special to our family because the Easter Bunny lives on in the eyes of our little ones.  I cherish this time because they are getting older and it won't be long before the Easter Bunny becomes Momma Bunny in their eyes (I want them to stay little and innocent forever).  The way I see it...they better always believe if they want the goodies!

Not only do our kiddos look forward to the Easter Bunny's arrival but I also like to treat myself to a little something every year...a new Easter Sunday dress!  This year the "Bunny" delivered a special surprise on my doorstep direct from New York & Company...this stunning "Sabine Fringe Dress"!

There is so much to LOVE about this dress...the fringe detail, the mesh neckline, the sequin stripes, the belted waistline, and the overall classic chic feminine style.  This dress is even more stunning in-person...it really is so unique and will be one of those dresses that you can wear for a variety of occasions.

Don't mind me over here, I'm starting to gear up for spring and I am on the hunt for all things floral, all things embellished, and all things embroidered.  I didn't have to hunt for long before coming across this stunning reversible floral jacket!  Yes, you read that right and as you can see from my images...this jacket is REVERSIBLE!  Talk about getting a bang for you buck!

The quality of this jacket is incredible too...it truly is even more gorgeous in person!  Versatile pieces are so important to have in your wardrobe...being that this jacket is so versatile, you will end up finding that it is a piece that you will wear so many different ways.  Dress it up for work or dress it down for weekend wear...either way, you are certain to get a lot of compliments on this gorgeous piece.
