Whether or not you plan to attend any festivals this season, if you love bohemian chic pieces, or if you are just loving the off the shoulder trend, this little baja off the shoulder dress from SoCal Gems is the perfect addition to your spring/summer wardrobe.  Take this dress on your next vacation and wear it as a cover up during the day and then throw on a pair of heels or wedge sandals for dinner out.  Wear it on the weekend with a pair of flip flops and a light denim jacket for brunch with friends or running errands.  The style possibilities are endless with this sweet little dress and for under $40, I can assure you that you will be getting your monies worth out of this one!  Add some fringe detail (bag and booties) and some fun accessories (I adore this handmade Luna ring) and you have a bohemian chic/festival inspired look!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Festival Style with Lionesse

Photos || Catherine Truman Photo

Festival season is upon us and I had the best time creating this festival inspired hair style with Lionesse.  When thinking of festival hair, long loose beach waves immediately came to mind.  After all, in my opinion, music festivals are all about freedom and self expression.  For me, there is nothing more free than letting my hair go and letting it move to the beat of the music.

To create this look I used Lionesse's "interchangeable pro curling iron" and their 22inch clip-in hair extensions.  What I LOVE about the curling iron set is that it has 4 interchangeable barrels of different sizes to help you achieve the perfect loose beach wave look.  It is so light and easy to use too!

Many of you who know me, know that I naturally have a ton of hair.  So when I decided to try the clip-in hair extensions to complete my festival inspired hairstyle, there was a big learning curve for me.  I actually decided to go see my Stylist and have her teach me how to put them in...I was clueless.  Although I've never had the need for hair extensions, I really enjoyed learning how to put them in and style them.  They were a lot of fun to wear and they added almost an inch to my natural hair length.

Lionesse's clip-in extensions are made from 100% natural human hair and they offer a variety of shades, which allows you to blend them nicely with your own hair.  Styling the extensions is just as easy as styling your own hair as well.

To complete my festival inspired hairstyle, I've added some hair jewelry like this head chain from Headbands of Hope!

When you think of festival hair, what type of style comes to mind?
