Everyday Style - Not So Basic Basics with Dillards

Everyday basics are important to have in your closet and I tend to gravitate towards basic pieces that are comfortable, versatile, and can easily transition from one season to the next.  I also look for neutral pieces so I can be creative with how I pair the piece and the type of accessories that I wear.

During one of my more recent shopping trips to Dillard's, I found this gorgeous crepe button down khaki top and immediately new that it would be a perfect basic to wear now and wear later.  This Fall, I will be wearing this with jeans and booties!  It's also a great buy as it is on sale for under $50 right now!

For this everyday look, I paired the button down with a pair of relaxed chambray shorts.  They have an elastic waist with a drawstring and are made for total comfort.  They are flowy and relaxed, which is what I love most about these shorts.  They are also on sale for right at $40!

Striped Button Down & Denim Cutoffs

Weekend wear should be effortless and nothing is more effortless than a light striped button down shirt, a pair of cutoff denim shorts, and sneakers.  As an on-the-go Mom of two, these pieces are staples and keep me comfortable while keeping up with our active kiddos.

I've also worn this striped shirt as a coverup while on vacation.  It's so easy to throw on and light enough to wear during the summer months.  Not only do I love wearing it with denim shorts but I have also dressed it up with a skirt as well.  For those that need work wear pieces, consider this the perfect piece to wear to the office.  It's super versatile and at a sale price of under $30, you just can't beat it!

Bohem White Top and Denim Shorts

When something is as cute, casual, and comfy as this bohemian flowy top, you will find me wearing it often.  I stumbled upon this top while looking for something else and I'm so glad that I did because I love it and wear it all of the time.  Not to mention, it is currently on sale too and comes in a rust color!

I paired it with my go-to pair of denim shorts and the wedges I've been wearing all spring/summer long.  And who could resist this straw tote...perfect for every day or perfect for the beach...you pick!

Pineapples & Poms

Pineapples and pom poms...the perfect little combo for this adorable kimono!  I love the bold red backdrop for this cute pineapple print and the fun colorful pom poms add such a festive touch too!  You can also wear this kimono over your swimsuit if would like!

Of course I had to pair it with my favorite picnic basket bag and these adorable pineapple earrings.  Guessing I just have a thing for pineapples right now but can you blame me?!
