Joules Launches at Dillard's

Have you heard that Joules has launched at Dillard's?!  This amazing British brand has traveled across the pond to bring us their feminine colorful and beautiful pieces!  Lucky us!

Yesterday I partnered with Joules and Dillard's for a launch event at the Cool Springs Galleria Mall.  It was a lot of fun to see all of the colorful Joules pieces in our local store, interact with customers, enjoy some sweet treats, and have our hair braided at the braid bar!

What I love most about Joules is their fun colorful prints!  I encourage you to stop in to your local Dillard's to check out the collection.  It is full of bright colors, subtle & bold florals, stripes, buffalo check, as well as some other fun prints.  You all know how much I love floral anything so these two floral Joules dresses are right up my alley!

I also wanted to share some of my favorite Joules pieces!  I love the stripe/floral combo fitted dress, the bold floral print shift dress, the large gingham fit and flare dress, and the striped t-shirt dress!  I also adore their rain jackets as well!

MakeReady at Noelle Nashville - Dining Experience Review

I recently spent some time at Noelle Nashville, a beautiful chic boutique hotel in downtown Nashville, and I had a great dining experience at MAKEREADY!  Noelle is situated right near the well known Printer's Alley area and MAKEREADY is located on the ground floor of the hotel.

MAKEREADY aims to provide a comfortable relaxed dining experience, much like that of a modern day tavern tailored to both men and women.  The decor is unique and it certainly compliments the overall tavern feel.  There are these beautiful panel windows on one wall and as you dine, looking up at the bustling Nashville street above you, you feel that you are tucked away from the crowds.  It's gives you the feel that you can see the people above but they can't see you...like a secret nook or a great hiding place!

We enjoyed a meat and cheese board first, which was delicious (pictured above)!  We asked our waiter to make pairing recommendations for our charcuterie board, which he did, and it was perfect.  From the high quality cheeses to the delicious meat to the seasonal chutney, it was a great way to start off our meal.  

We then tried the butter lettuce salad!  We really liked the texture and flavors of this salad.  The puffed Farro added such a unique twist to this salad.  And I can't deny the delicious pear  topping was such a delicious compliment to all of the other flavors.

After indulging in a delicious charcuterie board and butter lettuce salad, we tried the rotisserie chicken and the steak with the red chimichurri sauce.  Both were served with french fries, as we were there for lunch, but from my understanding the dinner portion is served with pickled vegetables.

The rotisserie chicken had a nice smokey, a touch spicey, with a little sweet sauce over top it.  The flavor was delicious and the sauce brought the most perfect amount of heat (it was very subtle ;-).  It was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the easy of being able to eat with our fingers when necessary!

And the chimichurri steak...wow, talk about flavorful!  The steak was served with a side of french fries and for dinner, it would be served with charred onions!  We really enjoyed the tenderness of the steak and the spices/sauce was delicious!

From the location of MAKEREADY, to the relaxed warm environment, on to the food, I definitely recommend that you add this to your list of restaurants to try.  Noelle is another beautiful boutique hotel option to consider when staying in Nashville and if you navigate your way down to MAKEREADY, enjoy a great meal and some delicious beverages too!  Oh...and be aware of the corners that you turn while down there...you may just run into a really unique hidden patron space! ;-)

Gabrielle Union Spring Collection for New York and Company

There's just something about a striped dress that makes me daydream about being on vacation with my family!  Stripes are always so classic and to me, they always feel a bit nautical as well.  Soon enough we will be at the beach and I can assure you this navy and white striped dress will be in my suitcase!

This gorgeous striped dress is just one of many FAB dresses from the new Gabrielle Union for New York and Company spring collection.  I saw Gabrielle where this dress on the today show with Kathie Lee and Hoda and she looked so stunning and classy in it...I knew I had to order one for myself!

Her spring collection features classic pieces that can be dressed up and dressed down.  What I love about her spring collection is that the silhouettes, colors, and overall designs are timeless and  you will be able to wear these pieces from spring season to spring season...year after year!

As you can see, I paired this Striped Kimono Dress with a red mule and I plan to pair it with a variety of colors to change up my look a bit.  The options are endless with this gorgeous dress.  You can truly dress it up as much as you would like or dress it down.  To dress it down a bit, I would pair it with a pair of flat sandals and a boater's hat.  Dress it up even more with high heels and bold statement jewelry for an evening out!

This Maxi Shirtdress is also one of my favorite from the collection.  It comes in both white and green and I personally love it in white.  A long white shirtdress is not only timeless and classic but it is also the most perfect blank slate for pops of color with your shoes/accessories.   Again, the options to dress this up or down and to add a variety of pops of color are endless!

And how fun (and gorgeous) is this Reversible Kimono?!  I love it paired with this Coral Halter Jumpsuit!  These two pieces compliment each other so well.  You can wear the two for work or wear them separately...the simon with denim and a tank and the halter jumpsuit on its own!

One of the questions that I get asked most is "Where should I stay when visiting Nashville?" and today, I'm going to be sharing a bit about Thompson Nashville, a chic boutique hotel nestled in the hear of The Gulch area of Nashville.

Thompson Nashville is a part of Thompson Hotels and I've got to say, it's one of my favorite local spots for so many reasons.  Thompson Nashville is nestled in one of the most popular spots of Nashville...The Gulch.  This area offers great shopping and dining experiences at some of Nashville's top restaurants.  If staying at Thompson Nashville, you can walk to so many great spots within The Gulch...no Uber needed, which is a plus if you ask me.  I don't know about you but I love exploring a city by foot any chance that I get.  You can always see and experience so much more that way.

I'm certain you will be impressed by the boutique look and feel of Thompson Nashville.  From the warm inviting lobby to the chic modern yet comfortable feel of their guest rooms & suites, you are sure to feel the southern charm that Thompson Nashville exudes.

As I mentioned, the rooms are chic and modern but they do not lack the comforts of home.  You are sure to get a great nights sleep and feel "at home" with the amenities that Thompson Nashville offers.

Thompson Nashville has a restaurant, Marsh House, on property and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner!  You MUST dine in at Marsh House while staying at the hotel.  Their food is divine...southern with a touch of Louisiana flare!  I wrote a full review on Marsh House so if you want to learn more about my amazing dining experience...read that post HERE!

One of the most popular spots for locals and visitors is L.A. Jackson Bar, which is on the rooftop of Thompson Nashville.  Part of the bar is enclosed and the other half is open air which showcases beautiful views of The Gulch and downtown Nashville.  L.A. Jackson is hard to beat on when the weather is great here in Nashville.  You can expect it to be busy from Spring through Fall!  

L.A. Jackson offers an amazing selection of southern beers as well as an eclectic collection of wine.  Not to mention, their Frose is the best I've ever had...a MUST!  While spending time at L.A. Jackson, you can also order light bites if you want something to snack on while enjoying a specialty cocktail.  Read more about L.A. Jackson HERE!

If you need a good cup of coffee to get your day started, don't forget to stop by Killebrew, which is located inside the lobby of Thompson Nashville.  Coffee is spot on and so is there latte art!

Friendship, Body Positivity, and More Sizes with LOFT

Meet Madi...

Madi is beautiful, kind, caring, generous, funny, and she is an AMAZING friend!  She is also a Wife, Daughter, Sister, and one of the BEST Photographers I know.  I'm lucky to call her my friend.

Madi and I have been friends for 2 years now but it seems like we have been life long friends. She is that easy to get to know!  Our friendship started this time two years ago when she reached out to me asking if we could get together sometime and capture some outfit images.  She came across so warm and inviting in her message and I immediately knew she would be a person I would want to get to know.

We have developed a great working relationship and an even better friendship!  I'm lucky to call her my Photographer and my dear friend!  We've all experienced friendships that come and go but I'm certain that our friendship is here to stay.

Just as friendships come in all shapes and sizes, so do our clothes.  Madi and I had the best time picking out our LOFT outfits for our shoot together.  LOFT recognizes that every woman's body is different from the next and they are now offering even more sizes to provide an inclusive positive shopping experience for all!
