This look quickly takes me back to our time living in Southern California.  We lived in Newport Beach, CA for almost 4 years and if you know anything about Newport Beach…it is this quaint beautiful laid back beach city.  When Krystle of KRZA and I connected, I was thrilled to learn that she lives just north of Newport in Huntington Beach, CA and that all of her headbands are handmade.  Her headbands are beautifully made and the quality is excellent!  Did I mention…I. AM. OBSESSED. WITH. KRZA HEADBANDS?!

I am also slightly obsessed with long cardi's right now…this cardi from TJMaxx is perfect for layering now and will be perfect as we transition into Spring within the next few months as well.  Completing this look with some gorgeous Wrenn druzy jewels and bohemian chic accessories creates an overall bohemian California laid back look.

"I'm going back to Cali, Cali, Cali, I'm going back to Cali hmmm, I don't think so".  Even if I can't be back in Cali, this look will take me back any day!

You have seen them, you have probably entered one (or many of them), and you have maybe even won one…YES, I am talking about Instagram giveaways!  Well, I also enter Instagram giveaways because it is such a great way to be introduced to others that I (YOU) may not have otherwise known about.  And on occasion, I get LUCKY!

I had been following Sam & Kate @samandkatedesign (www.samandkatephotography.com) from my early days on Instagram and they just so happened to host a giveaway with another shop that I also adore, @blisstulle (www.blisstulle.com).  I entered the giveaway and crossed my fingers.  It just so happens that crossing your fingers may just bring you some luck…you got it, I WAS the LUCKY WINNER of their giveaway!  Sam & Kate were giving away a sequin camera strap (I had been admiring their straps for some time) so I was beyond excited to have won!  The girls told me to have fun shopping and pick out my favorite strap so that is exactly what I did (what a hard choice it was as their color combos are AMAZING)!

I can't tell you how much I love this strap…it is fun, it is girly, and it is made of sequins & tulle…it doesn't get any better than that!  Taking pictures has never been more fun and I am always being asked where I got my strap from.  You must check out their website and their Etsy shop…they are so talented and their straps are so beautifully made.  Set the scene, and shoot with sequins!

Although this outfit was styled and shot at the very tail end of Fall (hence the leafs), I am sharing this as I also love this outfit for Valentine's Day, which is right around the corner.  I just adore this color combo…to me, it is soft yet bold, feminine, & classy.  To soften the femininity of this overall look, I have added my go-to faux leather jacket, black edgy riding boots, and this amazing pair of parrot statement earrings.

I'm diggin' this Charlie & Chomper tee (it is soooo comfortable) and YEP, I'm frequently "rockin' that mom bun" and proud of it!  As busy as I am with two kiddos, throwing my hair into a top knot is just plain common sense.  Not only does it save time but it looks cute too!

I say…if you are going to wear your hair in a bun, why not make a stylish statement and let everyone know that this bun (YOUR BUN) was intentional and not just an afterthought?!  Mom's unite and "rock" your bun with pride!
